Fantastically decorated room and very clean and spacious.
Food in the pub was excellent too.

Sadly not the best stay. Room not ready on time. Disgusting pillows on bed, no protectors. My room was definitely not Boutique as described, the furniture was sparce to say the least. Extremely noisy radiator in room 5. Disgusting language coming from kitchen beneath my bedroom window. Pillows, radiator and language was addressed, but was sick of having to complain for my short break. Also give the scampi a miss . Staff friendly and helpful, apart from kitchen of course.

Great place for a good old pub experience & food

A lovely quaint pub with comfortable accommodation. My husband booked for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We were met with smiles & friendly, helpful staff. Our evening meal was a hearty roast & we were served by Joshua who was great. In the morning we went down for breakfast & Joshua was there yet again to meet us & serve our breakfast. Joshua was yet again very helpful & we had a lovely chat with him. He certainly made our visit a good one - thank you

Lovely New Forest pub. Very friendly atmosphere. Large clean room, comfy bed, modern bathroom. Very quiet at night. Big breakfast, varied evening meals and excellent beer. New Forest ponies on the green and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's grave two minutes up the road!
Excellent value. Really enjoyed our stay, thanks.

Very average food

We had a burger and the waffle chicken dish. The burger was dry, like warm and didn’t taste of anything. The chicken was verging on burnt form the deep fryer, one small waffle that was soggy and drenched instead of drizzled in hot honey. Vv average meal not bothered about returning.
