Extremely disappointing stay at North Devon Resort. Check-in was delayed by over an hour with very little communication or apology, and we were told this was because the rooms were still being cleaned. That made the condition of the room even more shocking when we finally got in.
The room was filthy. There were dead flies on the bedding, squashed flies all over the walls, and moth eggs around the inside of the windows that clearly hadn’t been dealt with. The shower room was in a poor and potentially unsafe condition – the shower was temperamental, the shower door was hanging off, and there were exposed screws in the children’s room, which was a serious safety concern.
The rest of the site wasn’t any better. There was rubbish scattered around, and the whole resort felt dirty and poorly maintained.
Trying to contact anyone during our stay was almost impossible, and the whole place felt severely understaffed. It gave the impression of being run on a shoestring budget, with very young, inexperienced staff left to manage without the support they needed.
It’s such a shame because the resort has so much potential, but the lack of cleanliness, maintenance and customer service completely let it down. We were very relieved that we’d only booked one night. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return or recommend it in its current state.

The room was comfortable and well equipped. The rest of the resort is old and shabby. We received no instructions on arrival for any pool times, check out times and dog areas.

Room was adequate. Little soulless and quite stark but passable for me travelling alone.
Small things such as no towel racks in bathroom were irritating

The holiday was amzazing, the rooms could do with a re-vamp. We could see loads of work going on. Definitely on our to come back list.
