Awesome

Our family were celebrating a significant birthday, we had tried to book accomodation with Roam West but sadly they had no availability for our dates so we decided to stay close by so we could at least enjoy the restaurant experience. We are so glad we did, what a fantastic meal, from start to finish the service was excellent and the food was amazing. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back.

Received a completely different piece of fish that was described on the menu

Ordered fish and chips off the menu which states the fish was haddock but when it came it was a really thick piece of Cod which we don’t like if we knew that it was going to be cod we would never have ordered it disappointed with the way it was described as haddock on the menu

Very good place in the area

Excellent dinner: simple, efficient, and friendly! The menu in French is much appreciated! And we really enjoyed the cheese plate (the one from the Isle of Mull ) and the excellent cheesecake!

Overnight before climbing Ben Nevis

An affordable stay if climbing Ben Nevis. Unfortunately check in was a problem. On booking was told we could check in from 4 pm yet on arrival there was a sign saying staff back at 5.30. This meant hanging around waiting in the cold and rain.
Once checked in things improved.
The room was basic yet clean and all we needed for the night.
The kitchen area was great to heat up a quick dinner and make a cup of tea. It was clean and well equipped.
I would definitely spend a night again if hiking in the area.

We’d like to clarify one point for other guests, we give the phone number to guests to check in earlier and also it’s marked on the door outside.
The large sign does say we’ll be back but at 17:00.

Homely, comforting feel, good value for money

Was slightly concerned by some of the reviews on here but booked nonetheless, and was surprised to the upside! Super nice and welcoming staff both for the lodge and the restaurant. No, you shouldn't expect a 5* room, but you are paying lodge prices - it was clean, tidy, and more than enough for a couple of nights, especially given how cheap the rooms are. Only slight problem is pressure on the shower, might be hard to wash very long hair with that, but nothing to cry over. Food-wise, also not a haute-cuisine 5* experience, but a super homely vibe with generous and comforting food. Personally had tacos with haggis and avocado in them, which I would never have thought to make, and really liked it! Also super easy to park for both, which is always nice.
