Massive gap between the door and the floor, but I took it as ambient lighting for my Sunday morning.
Enjoyed m stay otherwise :)

Magical experience son to be broken

It started off as excellent with friendly staff to welcome me whilst checking in and gorgeous scrambled egg on toast the next day at breakfast, but I did not like ice cubes in the jug of orange juice, this being rectified the next day. However, I had an upset tum that morning, which makes me wonder whether the eggs came from overseas rather than being from the UK. Worse than that was the fact that I was unable to have a bath that morning, there being no hot water in the bathroom, whose door would not close properly. I did report this lack of hot water to Reception, whose staff member said, "Sorry, we will get the maintenance team onto it" - cold comfort as far as I was concerned because I was departing from the Hotel at that stage, bound for home. Whilst the first night was quite quiet, the second was rather different with noisy neighbours, whose TV was so loud that I could hardly hear the programme I was tuned into, which was not one with much aggression and gunshots constantly being heard - so different from the programme that I had intended to view.

Very nice hotel. Room was clean, bed was soft and enough power sockets and amenities.
my only issue which isn't a major was the shower didn't produce hot water.
I'm sure it's a minor problem.
It didn't effect my stay

My wife and I stayed for two nights. Our room was well equipped, including iron, ironing board, fan, hairdryer and to a good standard, the room showed obvious signs of constant use and age but was clean. Wi-Fi through out the building was very good and my wife especially liked having the bottled water already in our room on arrival and at turn down.
Breakfast was to a very good standard on what we ordered.
The bar was probably our favourite place, very pleasant area to relax and even had live music on our last night.
But I think more important than the above was the friendly and helpful staff who absolutely made our stay. They were happy to give advice on the surrounding area, and always happy to help. Thank you to all the staff at The Park Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable.
