Great stay

We stayed here as part of a Christmas night out. The room was clean and very comfirtable with the biggest bed I've ever slept in!
Staff were helpful and friendly.
The food was tasty and plentiful. We will definately consider a repeat visit.

Adequate for 1 night

Adequate for a 1 night. The staff in the bar were friendly and the meal in the restaurant was very good. The room was very clean & tidy but the double bed was a little on the small size. The bedside lights did not work. The bathroom had everything required including shampoo and shower gel and sufficient towels.
However the hotel does not offer any sort of breakfast.

Sunday lunch

Went there for a family visit, had a vegetarian Sunday lunch, started eating it, had been there before and food usually really good, could do with more bar staff and an extra till as always, even on previous visits always time consuming ordering drinks/food but it's a given with that place but anyway started eating my Sunday lunch only had two maybe three Brussel sprouts and noticed a chunk of something I didn't recognise, I've been vegetarian since I was eleven and am forty-five now and have never had this happen to me it was a chunk of chicken about the size of my thumbnail, I had to get my nephews to verify that it was chicken because I was stunned that it had happened, I called the waitress over, explained the situation, gave her the plate back, asked for a refund as the trust is gone now, to which she stated you don't want another plate of food? To which I said no I just want a refund, she brought me the refund said sorry but actually didn't seem that bothered so I won't be going back as the trust is gone now, so veggies/vegans be warned.

Birthday meal

There was twelve of us, they sat us all together which was nice , we all had different meals , we all had plenty to eat, the staff was very good, a lovely clean surroundings, we were all satisfied and we shall all be returning for meals in the future .good value for your money .

Simply the best !!!!!

What a lovely place for well made food and a great pint.
Staff are so friendly and helpfull I could not fault them.
Also stayed in one of their rooms and it was better comfort than any lodges I have stayed in.
