Lovely hostel

Great hostel in a quiet, picturesque setting. Lovely views. Short drive to many beaches. Large bedroom, comfy bedding. Everything well organised and tasty breakfast.

Great hostel

Brilliant little hostel hidden in the village of Beer. We camped on a flat grassed area. Access to drying room. Breakfast was said to be unlimited but it wasn't which we were told after asking for more. Adequate tho. Staff friendly and helpful. Would return.

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry about the confusion with breakfast. We agree that the generic YHA branding for an unlimited breakfast can be misleading with small sites like ours, that don't have a hot buffet. Since we don't have this equipment, or space to accommodate it, our cooks plate up a standard size breakfast unless told otherwise. We are more than happy to provide a larger portion if we get a heads up that you are extra hungry. So if you stay another time, just let us know when you place your order at check in, or at least when you first come along in the morning, and we'll cook just what you like.
We're really pleased you were otherwise satisfied with your stay!

Small, quaint YHA in lovely seaside village.

Brilliant youth hostel, situated in lovely village of Beer. Small, peaceful. Great staff and lovely old building. Well equipped kitchen and nice communal areas. Surrounded by lovely countryside.

Glamping at the Youth hostel

We stayed in one of the bell tents for one night while walking the coast path. This was one of the best nights sleep we had on our trip. Great welcome and service from Richard who cooked us lovely pizzas when we got there and a great breakfast before we left. It was so peaceful and the tent was cozy. Shared facilities were very clean. We would definitely return to this lovely place

Perfect family stay

Excellent hostel, very friendly and helpful. Comfy bedroom and a hearty breakfast.
Lots of families staying which gave a great atmosphere.
Peaceful nights sleep. No queuing for showers.
Everything you need!
Drying room for wet kit was very useful.
Good location for a 3 day stay. Good walks in both directions along the coast. Great for a chilly sea swim.
