Good, could have been great.

What was good:
Prior to arrival, we knew that we needed to check in early, so we contacted the Foresters and were told that was fine.
Good check-in, nice room, comfy bed, great breakfast.
What wasn't good:
Shower was difficult to turn on and off and whilst on the only temperature options were very hot or very hot, I had a shower by putting my hands under ther water and splashing it over me, not the best way to get shampoo off.
Due to this, my wife didn't have a shower. We thought that since we told the owners this at breakfast, they might discount our stay slightly? They did say they would look at it for the next guests, which we hope they do, but it spoilt our stay a little. You may say, why didn't we request a discount? because that would have been uncomfortable for all, and you shouldn't have to ask.

Hidden gem with some outstanding food and beers on tap

Absolutely lovely place, the beer tasted great and the food was the best I've had while staying away, and I stay away for work alot, it really is outstanding grub. The owners are lovely and so are the girls behind the bar, I didn't want for anything. Nice room with a big bed and ensuite bathroom with a shower. There's a travelodge not far but if you book that over Foresters you've missed out on a lovely place.

Experience a real English pub and stay overnight

Very comfortable rooms over a traditional English Pub in a lovely country village. We enjoyed a fabulous “full English” breakfast. Denise, our host was extremely friendly helpful. Definitely a great choice off the beaten path.

Welcoming and warm

My favourite go-to retreat when in the Frome / Beckington area, Always a warn welcome from Dee and Clive.
Rooms clean and comfy, always warm in winter and breakfasts are great. THE BEST MUSHROOMS IN THE WORLD.

Fabulous food and great accommodation

From the moment we were welcomed into the pub, to when we staggered out after our fantastic breakfast, this was a great experience. The food was fresh , plentiful and tasty. The room was cozy, had everything you need and a superb shower. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had only booked one night but would happily have stayed for a week.
