Great place to stay

We stayed in one of their lovely houses (not the pub itself). Spotlessly clean. Very central. Brilliant shower

Great value, great service, lovely accommodation

Charlie made sure our stay went without a hitch, she was welcoming, friendly and made the stay comfortable and very pleasant. Good value and great service, would definitely recommend and come back!

Unexpected fabulous break with a friend

Just got back from a 2 night stay with a Travelzoo voucher. We stayed in a ground floor apartment overlooking the bowling green and it was fabulous. Everything was of high quality and so tastefully furnished. Especially loved the Lucy Pittaker paintings. Having 3 recliners was an unexpected treat.
Shower was the best!
Now to the pub itself, staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Breakfast was lovely and the evening meal was yummy. You must try the blade of beef!
All in all a lovely couple of days and I’ll definitely look out for Travelzoo again to go back.

Amazing scones

Stopped here for homemade scones and coffee. Pleasant staff , clean toilets.
Amazing scones …. I’m a connoisseur Dog friendly too . Beer garden, seats at front and also coffee shop and bar area. Seems to be quite popular even early in the day.

Excellent

Visited this pub today with friends, I can say it was first class. The meal was excellent & the service second to none. I am a wheelchair user & the staff were extremely helpful. I highly recommend this pub & would definitely visit again. Thank you to all the staff.
