Sublime accommodation in the heart of Vidago

This is a stunning renovation project that was clearly a labour of love for owner Leonardo. To restore the original historic building to the chic, contemporary property that it is today clearly took some substantial investment, both of money and time.
The location is perfect, within a short walking distance of Vidago’s main street with its restaurants, bars and shops. It’s also not far from the Ecopista de Corgo, a former railway track, now a traffic-free cycling and walking route which offers lovely views across valleys and remote villages.
I stayed in one of the two deluxe double rooms with bath – and took full advantage of the gorgeous and spacious room, Wi-Fi and huge flat screen TV. I know we don’t go on holiday to watch the box, but after a three-hour walk on the Ecopista and a lovely lunch out – Restaurant Campilho, since you ask, wonderful – a nice bath, glass of wine and the latest Netflix series are more than enough entertainment of an evening.
As has been said, Leo is a great host, always there to answer any questions and open your bottle of wine. Well, mine, anyway!
If his plans come to fruition, Leonardo is hoping to purchase a neighbouring property and perhaps instal a swimming pool. ZN Lodge would be the ultimate package if this were to happen. But as it stands, it’s already complete enough.
Bravo, Leo! Keep up the excellent work, and hope to visit again someday!

Tranquility

Stunning interior courtyard
Spacious rooms and excellent beds
Chic boho environment, very interesting books available. The stone leaves the environment with very good thermal cozy. The best : visualize the stars from the protected courtyard

Very comfortable with historical experience

Very pleasant night of sleep with comfy beds and sheets. Vidago also boats many other sights like Vidago Palace, Golf cub, treks and local restaurants. There is also a local winery with good red wines in Arcosso. The region itself is very beautiful.

A redefinição da excelência

Escolhemos este alojamento por mera casualidade e devo de dizer que aqui se redefine a excelência no atendimento. Marcamos literalmente a 20 minutos de lá chegar e prontamente tudo se resolveu em função das nossas necessidades. Chegamos num sábado pois tínhamos tido um problema no carro e precisamos de ficar por ali...prontamente perguntaram se queríamos um mecânico pois conheciam um que nos ajudaria a um domingo.
No domingo então optamos por ir para uma piscina ali perto. Como não estávamos a contar, não tínhamos toalhas. Eles souberam e ligaram a dizer que estavam a caminho para nos trazer toalhas...enfim...nunca experienciei tal grau de simpatia. Acima de tudo nota-se que fazem tudo por gosto. O alojamento está provido de tudo...mas tudo mesmo. Desde maquina de café, lava loiça, frigorífico, compotas, leite, etc...
Do melhor que já vi...
