The hotel location was excellent, easy walk to the old part of Setúbal full of bars, restaurants and boutique shops. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was basic and fine. Breakfast was surprisingly very good and exceeded expectations, the gym and spa were also very good, for a small hotel establishment.

Nice room, but with clear weaknesses in service
Our stay at the Hotel Meliá Setúbal was unfortunately rather disappointing. The spacious and clean rooms are a positive highlight. The room service was also truly top-notch and left a very good impression.
Unfortunately, there are some other points that bothered us. The furniture looks significantly worn in places, and the refrigerator in the room barely cools.
We would have also expected more friendliness from the service staff. A "good morning" unfortunately does not seem to be a given, which makes you as a guest not feel particularly warmly welcomed.
In the breakfast room: About half of the appliances were out of order or defective, or were only turned on 20 to 30 minutes later. Furthermore, breakfast is only available starting at 7:00 AM, which is rather impractical, especially for guests with early departures.
Overall, there are certainly positive aspects, especially the cleanliness, the size of the rooms, and the very good room service. Nevertheless, there is still significant room for improvement regarding the condition of the amenities, the breakfast, and above all, the interaction with guests.

PERFECT AND COMFORTABLE
It is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I like it a lot. Next to Bonfim park and in the city center. It has a decent Spa and a good breakfast. The room was very good too. And general friendliness at the front desk. Special mention to Inés, since her professionalism and good work are difficult to beat in any hotel establishment. Worth repeating.

Accommodation at work
Excellent service, hotel restaurant and surrounding area (good location). Room cleanliness good, well-decorated common areas, very comfortable bed and very varied breakfast. To repeat briefly.

Our room was ready when we arrived, even if we were early. Parking was on the steet, but we had no problems paying and staying overnight we paid extra past 7pm and it was good for the following morning.
