Soothing...Generous...

Welcoming...quiet...excellent bedding...wonderful what to say again...good life at the pace of Portugal...friendliness and generosity!
The Castle overlooks the village and the valley...a magnificent view...soothing...not to be missed if you are in the area!

Very good memory of this magnificent place that I discovered...to do again

I live in France and I went to spend the end of the year with my friend in Sernancelhe, where I discovered this pretty town with these various shops. We spent a few nights at "Casa do Castelo" where we were very well received, by (Sonia) a very friendly person.. the setting is very pleasant, the rooms very clean with bathroom, TV, wifi..
Breakfast, very correct and plentiful.. and served on time in a room with magnificent decor.. frankly very Good place to recharge your batteries, very quiet..
I highly recommend. Very fair price.

Good stay

On a visit to Sernancelhe, after visiting the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Lapa, we decided to stay at Casa do Castelo, due to the great reviews on Tripadvisor.
With the concept of "Guest House", it has only six rooms named: Dona Inês de Castro, Dom Pedro V, Dona Maria II, Dom Sebastião, Dom Dinis and Dona Beatriz. We stayed in the latter, with an interesting decor.
From what we later learned, the interior is a rehabilitation of part of the interior of the walls of the town's old castle and next door was the "Casa do Padre", the residence of the parish priest of Sernancelhe, Monsignor Cândido de Azevedo (1927-2015).
We were very well received by the lady who seemed to be the manager.
In addition to the quality of our room, I highlight the shower, great water pressure and space. The television could be better centered on the wall, it could be in front of the part of the bed closer to the bathroom, it would look better there.
Good breakfast, with enough to feel good.
Accessibility to the interior, from the street, leaves something to be desired, as you have to climb 18 steps, which makes it inaccessible to a person in a wheelchair.
Car parking is outside, there is no private parking, but there are usually always free spaces.
We used a voucher from the Odisseias program and everything went normally.

Fantastic!

The space is fantastic. Extremely well looked after. The staff is wonderful (thanks, Elisa!). Impeccable view, peace, cleanliness. The ideal place to rest, have peace, enjoy the pool, have a good nights rest. We were really positively surprised. We'll be back soon.

highly recomended!

We warm and friendly check in. The rooms are very cosy and nicly decorated ( each room has a different style and all of them has kings and queens names).
Is a fantastic experience to sleep in a ancient castle.
Breakfast in great and the location is right in Sernancelhe old town.
