Great

The farm is wonderful, very large, with spaces for walks and an incredible view.
The rooms have access to the kitchen and guests can use it to make meals.
Beautiful and very well designed rooms.
I felt like we were at home. Mr Antonio is extremely friendly and does everything to make guests feel at home.
We were allowed to pick grapes to eat. Delicious.
Breakfast is good quality and includes wonderful croissants.
We really enjoyed it and it was excellent for resting.

Perfect place for a few piece full days.

This is a perfect location if you want to stay in the nature. The distance to Porto is 45 minutes. We stayed in a small house near the main building, which was very quiet. Antonio, the owner is a very nice person. The only thing: the breakfast room was very hot and the breakfast a bit basic. They do have Wifi!

Great stay at this quinta!

I spent 2 days in January in this fabulous quinta near the Douro valley. The quinta is very big and well managed. The owner is a very kind and helpful gentleman. We rented one of the small houses with 2 bedrooms on the quinta. They are lovely: old furniture with some modern touch in the bathroom. All comfort you need for a stay in the countryside. The quietness is so relaxing. Breakfast in the morning is also good, not too much but satisfactory. The whole area is nice for walking and also to discover the Douro valley by car. I definitely recommend this place. Thank you Mr Sarmento!

Perfect for a rest...

The space is very quite and perfect for a rest days ... We stayed at the house with two rooms with a kitchen equipped with everything needed for cooking, coffee machine, kettle and fridge. The house is also equipped with one TV in each bedroom and one in the common room, towels, bathrobes and slippers.
The pool area is perfect for relaxing. In this area there are towels made ​​available by the hotel. The room where the breakfast is served is also very good, has a view over the trees on the farm. The area around is huge, with trees, which can provide an excellent ride without leaving the hotel area. Please note that the farm owner is very helpful, attentive and friendly providing a familiar atmosphere during our stay! He did everything to satisfy our requests.

beautiful location, definitely come back

ok, so there are some small details that arent excellent about Quinta De Abôl, but overall its a 5/5 !
Beautiful location at the top of a hill with great views over the Douro. And this is just where the Douro starts to get really beautiful, travelling East to Cinfaes and Peso da Régua for example.
100€ a night got us an apartment with a massive kitchen / dining area, lovely living area and bedroom. It also got us an EXCELLENT breakfast, including orange juice from oranges grown in the gardens of the hotel. How lovely is that!
Antonio is very friendly. He made us feel very welcome and gave a very personal feel to our stay.
The ONLY negative was the bed, not so comfortable in the ground floor apartment. Hard mattress and the bed is only about 170cm long so I couldnt stretch my legs out fully. I would recommend that if the bed is important for you, you stay in the main building where the beds appear to be a lot bigger and more comfortable.
Free parking, very close to local restuarants. We'll be back Antonio !
