Charming floating lodges

We stayed 2 nights in one of this beautiful lodges. It’s a great experience, the rooms are huge, the beds are extremely comfortable. The view is breathtaking. Cesar and his wife are great hosts. The food was very good. We definitely recommend this place.

Splendid location on a floating island and nothing too much trouble for Cesar

Really great experience, and super host Cesar. The rooms are spacious with heaters provided. Lovely outside bed to relax on. Cesar took us to another island to see a community and explained how the islands are made. Fascinating.
The meals were substantial and is able to cater for vegetarians and vegans.

Very special stay with family connection

Due to a road closure of several hours we arrived much too late. But we were always in contact with Cesare via WhatsApp and he was always available. Even at late hours the transfer to the port and then by boat went smoothly and we even got a hot dinner.
It really is an extraordinary experience to stay on the floating straw island and Cesare showed us the community and told us a lot of personal stories.
During the day we could enjoy the sun on the terrace in the daybed and it felt very special.
The room was really big and we even had 2 window sides facing the lake.
The bed was super comfortable and at night there were hot water bottles and a heating stove in the room.
The meals were all tasty and even when other guests arrived (we stayed there for 3 nights), care was taken to ensure that we always got changing food.
Drinking water was as much as you wanted. We were really well looked after and visiting Floating Islands was one of the most beautiful parts of our Peru trip.
The bathroom takes some getting used to, but due to the specificity of the accommodation is not otherwise feasible.

Outstanding a must choose

I don’t know what more that I can add to the already glowing reports but they are all accurate. Cesar and his family are special people and we were lucky to have found this place. We came during cooler weather yet the rooms and all accommodations kept us warm and comfortable. The hosts do not impose themselves on you, rather they give you options and let you make your own choices. No pressure.
The rooms were gorgeous. The food is exceptional. I don’t know how they do it. But my favorite was the beds were the most comfortable I have ever been in. Each of the guests we spoke to here said the same thing.
So relaxing and informative at the same time. I would refer you to all the other glowing reviews. They are all accurate.

Unforgettable experience!

Cesar was an amazing host. He was punctual in picking us up, and we enjoyed his tours on various types of boats around the lake. We liked our visit to a traditional island to meet a few locals. Yes, the point is also to sell you something, but you can't escape that. We bought a beautiful embroidered tapestry and enjoyed supporting the community, especially after hearing that people are now having a hard time with the depleting numbers of fish in the lake. The room was beautifully decorated and it was quite cold at night, but he provided a space heater. It was a dry toilet, but I don't know what people expect, staying on a floating island. In all, it was an unforgettable experience.
