Excellent hotel!
Excellent service from the receptionist, from the service to the exit, very amable, excellent room and comfortable beds, close to the Kenedy park and various restaurants around. We can leave your bags before check-in. Just one reservation that the bathroom is very tight, but I loved staying at the hotel. Pretty safe place.

Highly recommended hotel and very well located
In general they do what they promise, good quality-price and more considering its location (very close to Kennedy Park), very attentive staff, the breakfast was decent, the point to improve is the lack of a cafeteria, but it was not bad either. They took us to the room.

Good price and attention
For the rate we paid it was very good for me.
Located near Kennedy Park.
Close to the infoperu place where the buses that come and go to the airport arrive.
It is located near the Malecón and the Larco shopping center.
The room was comfortable and I didn't hear any noise from outside.
Breakfast was a boxlunch that was enough for me, it was coffee and 2 sandwiches that were delicious.
The bathroom was well laid out, had ph, towels, shampoo and soap.
Personally, my room was very nice and had a very nice antique desk.
The attention of the people at the reception was very friendly and they were always recommending where we should go.

Miserable!
Miserable hotel, dirty rooms, breakfast that they leave for you in the hallway at the entrance to the room, for which they knock on your door to announce that you are in prison . The position is good but I do not recommend it. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed at.

Dirty, unfriendly and unorganized hotel with horrible breakfast
We stayed 2 nights in this super bad place and had a reservation for a 3rd night with early check-in. Once we arrived, the old guy at the reception Was very unfriendly, had no rooms available, ignored our reservation and did not even try to help us out or apologize for this bad situation. We had no bed in the middle of the night. This was a very rude and disrespectful behaviour. Beside this, the other 2 nights were not pleasant - it's a dirty, old, unfriendly place where breakfast is served to your room consisting out of 2 dry breads (forget about a veggy option) and hot coffee in a plastic bottle (yummy plastic softeners). Thankfully we ended up in a better place and could have a more pleasant stay in Lima. Avoid Esperanza Hotel, it's a place just to make money without any heart for detail or the guests.

Dear ErikaB, we take notice about your case, and after collecting your words and the information given us from reception, we are writting you a response.
First of all we're sorry for the inconviniences and the probable misunderstood in the comunication with reception in the called "early check-in". About the early check-in, as explained to you by the receptionist at the moment you asked for it, that unfortunately we are not able to block a night room that could be used for other traveler, to be replaced for an "earlycheck-in" from 6 am.
So as explained you before, if you would have like to ensure 100% your room for your arrival between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m., would have been much better if you had reserved the room for the night before, and in this way your room would have been 100% reserve for any arrival time between the check in time and the check out time for your reservation in the needed date.
In your case, the "old" guy as you called him, explained to you at 6 a.m. (not in the middle of the night) after your arrival, that unfortunately at that moment there was no availability, but that you could leave your luggage at storage and in about 3 hours your room was going to be ready. We understand that you didn´t want to wait, so you decide to leave and look for other place, but at that moment, that was the only way the reception guy was able to help you.
This inconvenient should have been very disappointing and frustrating for you, which made you canalize this frustration through this web site.
Following your words, we also see that you stayed 2 nights before with us and after that you asked a new 3rd night with an early check-in, so probably we shouldn´t have been so bad or dirty when you are asking us to come back, but unfortunately the misunderstood with the "Early Check-in" motivates this negative review.
About the breakfast, is true, we have received several suggestions to be improved, and in the following date we are going to have important changes with our breakfast as the time before the COVID-19.
About your last wrong affirmation, "Esperanza Hotel, it´s a place just to make money...", we have to say that we are constantely trying to reduce our costs in order to be able offer our guests and travelers the best price in our area, thing that until now we understand we have been achieving, but until now without necessarily profits, because energy and water costs get every day higher and higher.
Your rate during your first stay with us in one double room including breakfast was US$ 27.55 a night and as explained the propossed rate of US$ 10.00 for an early check-in is only available depending on the availability at that moment, but this rate don´t permit us to block a room from the night before.
