Classy hotel with great location and staff (and well priced).

We stayed here for one night before our three day-two night Amazon trip and then stayed one night after we did our Amazon adventures…. And it was great. The rooms were huge with high ceilings, refrigerator, a great bed, and a good hot breakfast with choices. Staff could not have been nicer and more helpful, especially Claudia (super pleasant and helpful). Great location and quiet. Restaurant recommendation is “Yellow Rose of Texas”.

Stayed at the beginning and end of our amazon trip. Great location, beautiful big rooms, nice breakfast and they will store your luggage while you are away. Staff arranged a taxi pick up. Air conditioning was a big bonus!!!

Old house used as a poorly resolved hotel

For a stay in the safe we were twice in and out. On the first occasion we were in room 4 similar to those shown in the pictures. The windows are blocked, not fitting these have put a glass in front and can not open or enter air, the double bed with mattress on the sides, a single table.
On the second occasion, we were in room number 9, this is interior overlooks a patio where the pool is located, without window if you have to aerate it you have to open the door of the room, in the bathroom there is a window of louvers that must overlook somewhere where there is noise from constant engines. As the rooms are very large they have very high ceilings 4 meters or more, they take a long time to cool with the air conditioning. Antique furniture that needs a restoration, you can't sit on it is expired. If you get room on the first floor eye there is no elevator if you have mobility problems. The only good thing about the hotel is the friendliness of all the staff..

Old world charm and comfort

This hotel is full of old world charm, interesting architectural details, well managed and very clean and comfortable. We stayed in the family room, both before and after our trip into the Amazon, which gave us plenty of space to relax and organize. We enjoyed the hotel pool that was very clean, and larger and deeper than it appears in posted pictures.

Excellent location, interesting architecture and history, clean, good breakfast, staff very friendly and helpful. Worked perfectly for my quick visit to Iquitos.
