Birding Inside a Hotel? Yes.

The Hotel La Paccha has a great location in Cusco not far from the centre of the city. While the rooms are fine it is a couple of other things that made my stay here memorable.
First there are the amazing tapestries of renowned Peruvian textile artist Maximo Laura that grace the walls of the dining room. They are bright, colourful and intriguing.
Second, there was a sparkling violetear hummingbird nesting at eye level in the hotel courtyard. You don't expect to do birding inside the hotel, but this as the exception.
Third, there is a Cusco craftswoman dressed in traditional garb that comes into the lobby each day and not only sells, but also makes her wares on the spot.
They also keep an urn of coca tea in the lobby which is helpful in preventing altitude sickness.
All in all I felt the La Paccha was a very good choice by the company I was travelling with.

Great lovation in Cusco

Well located hotel with very friendly staff. We had dinner on our first night and Willy was very attentive and offered us various wine tastings until we selected our preferred wine.

Cusco stop over

Location quite central to main part of town, coffee shops and restaurants.
Room clean and adequate.
Quite noisy room, main road on one side and indoor atrium restaurant on other side.
In house restaurant good, attentive service, thanks to Willy.

Amazing overall

I loved my stay here. Its a beautiful hotel with all the good amenities and excellent vibe. Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant quality is top notch. Our server Willy was very nice and super attentive.

Great hotel with a cosy and local atmosphere

Beautiful hotel with a lovely atmosphere and very kind staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, especially Franklin at the reception, who was always warm, friendly, and polite. He made our stay even more enjoyable with his welcoming attitude and made us feel right at home.
The breakfast was good, and the hotel is well located, just a 15-minute walk from the city center. I highly recommend it!
