Excellence to attend us!
Excellent place to stay in Cusco! It’s near the Main Square and the breakfast is really good!
The rooms are clean and tidy. The showers are warm!
Thanks to Marti, Gerson and Erasma. And I’m specially thankful to Luiz, who welcomed us and took care of each detail during our stay. Such a nice guy!!

Overnight stay
We stayed here for only one night when we left Peru. The Hostal provided clean, neat rooms with very helpful staff. I found that the room were tiny, we had to place our backpacks on the floor and there was very little room to move. As we were flying out very early, we went to bed early. The Hostal was quite noisy during the early evening, we had a room right next to an office of sorts and there was quite a lot of loud talking going on. The Hostal is in a great location, but I would not recommend it for a long stay.

CHEATS
My wife and I called at the Wasichay's restaurant on May 2nd for a meal after a long coach trip from Puno. The food (grilled beef anticuchos) was cold and unappetising, and we would have sent it back were we not so tired. Service was lousy - we even had to get our own cutlery ! Finally, we ordered a bottle of Casillero del Diablo cabernet sauvignon to drink with the meal, but waitress delivered a sweet red wine instead. We naturally sent it back and asked them to give us what we had ordered. Incredibly, the cheating sods POURED THE SWEET RED INTO AN EMPTY CASILLERO BOTTLE AND SENT IT BACK TO US !! We naturally gave the cheats short shrift. In summary - LOUSY food, LOUSY service, LOUSY cheaters.

Great stay at a rustic hostal, great value!
I arrived in Cusco on June 10, 2016 without hotel reservation but decided as I always do, to search for a modest place to stay. I found a "gem" of a Hostal that rivals 3 to 4 star Hotels in the center of Cusco. The rooms are splendid decorated and very comfortable beds. Hot Water 24/7. Cable TV, Free Wifi and Breakfast included for a great price $$$ savings.
The staff tends to your every needs and are very professional on their service. I highly recommend this Hostal to everyone planning in staying in Cusco....

Bait and switch
The three bed picture is the room they use to show and entice. Verbal contract, pay for the room in advance and walk away and return to find they "made a mistake" and you are really in a tiny room with one full and one twin bed. Worst breakfast we had in Peru. 20 watt bulb in bathroom. Laundry is quite expensive. Two pairs of long, light running pants and T shirts was US $12.00.
