feeling home

We had a dinner at the Beukenhorst on the occasion of the 60th wedding anniversary of the parents. It was great. Booking and contact in advance was helpful. The ambiance and the reception was superb. Friendly South Limburg atmosphere as my parents, we are used to. The food was perfectly taken care of and very tasty. The wine was absolutely great. The service was great. It felt like we were at home, no blah blah and complexity but pure and authentic. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

WE HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR OVER 25 YEARS. WHY WOULD THAT BE? AND NOT JUST ONCE A YEAR. Besides the fact that almost everything goes, I am a vegetarian and I don’t eat anywhere like there as wonderfully flavorful and varied. I don't have to say anything, because the cook knows exactly what he's making for me. Lots of fresh vegetables etc. Delicious fresh hot rolls, before you start the meal. Here you can eat something that is not just standard and for the little eaters, you can even order half portions. So look no further for a restaurant while you're there, as you're sure not to find the dishes of this restaurant in the neighborhood. A tasty Swiss potato dish etc. and plenty of other dishes that you will almost never see on a menu elsewhere! More than worth a try!

Very cosy, well located guesthouse with some rooms better than others

Hotel Beukenhorst is very well located a 5 min drive from Gulpen and a few steps from the bus stop to Maastricht or Aachen. Though there is no private parking, there are many public spaces alongside the road and we didn't once have a problem. A good quality Dutch style breakfast with bread, cheese and an egg or fruit can be eaten in the delightful garden, weather permitting.
Although the room furnishings were very simple, I had a very comfortable sleep every night. Our only disappointment was that the website doesn't make it clear that some rooms are more basic than others and doesn't charge any less than the better appointed rooms. We had a somewhat tired, garret style room with a cabin bathroom on the 3rd floor which would not have been our choice had we known. Though cramped, it was clean and everything worked and still represented good value for money.

Het best bewaarde geheim van Zuid-Limburg, een verborgen parel

We kwamen aan in de mooie tuin waarin gezellige zitjes zijn gemaakt waar je heerlijk privé kunt zitten. Het hotel zelf is een prima onderhouden landhuis en de romantische uitstraling wordt verstrekt door de vele authentieke details uit grootmoeders tijd. We hadden een prachtige ruime en superschone kamer met een heerlijke douche. De gastvrouw en gastheer doen alles voor hun gasten en behandelen iedereen met evenveel respect. De gastvrouw heeft voor iedereen een praatje en de gastheer is een fantastische kok die de meest verrassende en heerlijke diners op je bord tovert. Alles in en om dit huis en de mensen stralen liefde en aandacht uit. Je bent hier oprecht welkom en het voelt meteen als thuis. Een absolute topper!

VERWENARRENGEMENT

Net een heerlijk verlengd weekend in hotel Beukenhorst doorgebracht. De gastheer, tevens kok, en zijn echtgenote ,gastvrouw hebben ons weer eens ( reeds tweede maal)in de watten gelegd. Uiterst warm en vriendelijk onthaal. Heerlijke keuken met zéér creatieve, Zwitsers accenten. Kortom een adresje om te koesteren en sowieso te frequenteren.Ook prijs/kwaliteit is meer dan ok.
