Beautiful hotel. Best location close to everything. Staff were amazing and so helpful

Beware of building work not disclosed when booking.

Guests should be aware of an ongoing scaffolding issue that was not disclosed by the hotel before my arrival. Extensive scaffolding and workers were directly outside my floor-to-ceiling windows, seriously affecting both the view and privacy of my open-bathroom suite throughout my two-night stay. Photos show the impact and total loss of privacy. What I find most unacceptable is that this was clearly a known problem before my arrival. Upon research, I see previous Booking.com reviews dated 28 July and 6 August reported the same scaffolding and workers outside guest windows, yet I arrived on 11 August with no warning from the hotel whatsoever. The situation was ignored by staff during check in, until I pointed out the scaffolding and people outside my room. The hotel is also continuing to advertise for sale, affected accommodation for current stays without disclosing the issue. I understand that a hotel cannot control contractors, but it absolutely can control what it sells and what it discloses to guests. Had I been informed, I would have booked elsewhere. Despite repeated assurances during my stay that the situation would improve, it did not. On the second morning after being assured the workers would not be returning, I walked out of the open shower to see a worker directly outside my window. I was effectively misled and sold a room with no view and no privacy, ruining my planned luxe break. Beware if you are booking.

A short holiday in Harlem Holland

The hotel is located in a super central location.The suite is very spacious and pleasant.The hotel staff is friendly and service is amazing.There are snacks at the entrance and on every floor.

An outstanding stay

Absolutely WONDERFUL hotel with outstanding employees. We stayed in an incredibly comfortable suite. The people who work at the hotel really did their utmost to take good care of us. The location is wonderful in the beautiful old part of Haarlem. The minibar is included, as well as snacks in the hall outside the room. The breakfast was very good, but it would have been even better if it included coffee. If I should say something else that was not perfect, I would mention that the sauna did not work properly, or at least it did not get hot. But these are small things that did not make our wonderful stay any less amazing.

Excellent service, everyone was so polite and welcoming. The location was amazing, best restaurants and shopping within 50 metres. The welcoming drinks at the bar were a great gesture from the hotel.
