A lovely place with an even personal touch!

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff, really another classic grand café!
The food is restaurant quality and everything is possible, even for the kids.
The cook comes to check if everything is satisfactory in a friendly way! In jokes, of course.

Edam - beautiful beautiful town

Edam itself is the most beautiful characterful town we have visited on our business trip. However the welcome was shocking. In fact it was non existent. Our hostess didn't even take time to say: "welcome to Edam, welcome to Hotel Pension Harmonie". She marched ahead, unlocked the courtyard, shoved our room keys in our hands and didn't even offer to show us how anything worked. For us who are hoteliers in South Africa, it was just rude. Our little dormitory under the roof was very cosy, but whoever cleaned the room hadn't even plugged the bedside lights into the wall socket. At breakfast a very sweet young lady made us a delicious coffee and showed us the little buffet. No further interaction - such a pity, because just a little customer care goes a very long way.

Fantastic apartment, great location.

We only stayed here for 1 night to break up our road north, but from the 9 different places we stayed in during the trip, this is 1 we all wanted to return to.
Location is beautiful, right on the canal on a very quiet one way street, just a stroll from the shops in the centre. The apartments are built on the first floor and access is via an external staircase.
The beds are comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, there is a dining table and a smart TV too.
We were the only guests, but the lady who met us had gone out the way to prepare food including a basket of warm gluten free bread for those of us who needed it.

Rock and roll heaven!

The first time we arrived, the music was so good we didn’t even bother bringing our bags up to our room until 10:00 when everything quiets down. A very friendly crowd of locals, and a chill vibe. We had to leave REALLY early to catch a flight, so they told us to feel at home, make ourselves some breakfast. We love this place.

Good Live Music

We came special for the live music that was happened every saturday and sunday. And for the sunday end of the day, at 05.00 pm, the concert was free. The drink and food's price were affordable. Friendly people and good location, along the canal. Parking was free, not far from the hotel.
