The place has a cool vibe. The staff were geninely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and the dining room is very special right on the water with an incredible view.

Dirty, worn out, all very deficient

The whole hotel is very worn out, which is basically no problem if it is clean. It's dirty there, everywhere!

Due to its simplicity cozy

Cozy due to its simplicity
We stayed at the Emshotel because we wanted to visit Borkum. It is a good hotel and we enjoyed the 5-course menu. The breakfast was also very good. Friendly staff, with particularly nice contact with the Croatian waiter who had found his love here.
One area for improvement: it may already be on the agenda, but we recommend replacing the bathtubs with walk-in showers. The average age of the guests, as far as we saw, is around 55+. Two of us were recovering from a new hip and one from a major foot fracture. Getting in and out of the bath to shower was therefore quite a challenge.

how they treat their staff is not normal

how they handle their staff here is really not normal, they are shouted at in front of guests etc. etc. hope that this toko will soon be taken over by people who can handle the staff normally!

Very special hotel in a unique location. Excellent room with good beds. Good food in the restaurant fine price quality ratio.
