Really very good.

The location allows for many visits on foot; the room and bathroom were very good. The staff at the reception is particularly friendly, and the breakfast is perfect, and the included dinner is very pleasant, with very friendly staff as well.

Unfortunately, my experience at Home Hotel Folketeateret was extremely disappointing. It is overpriced for what it offers, and the customer service was very poor. I had to change rooms three times. My first room had a wall directly in front of the window, making it dark and enclosed, with a crane hanging over the window. I explained that I suffer from claustrophobia and cannot stay in a dark room with no view.
When I raised this with receptionist Khadar, there was no care or empathy. The next room was also dark, with a wall directly outside and a dirty, unpleasant view. The manager then offered another similar room. When I said I could not stay there, she asked if I wanted to check out. I asked about a refund and was told to contact Hotels.com. I had paid £500 for 3 nights and had waited until 3 p.m. for my room.
I was particularly upset when the manager and Khadar spoke to each other in their own language and laughed while I was distressed. I found this extremely disrespectful.
Eventually, I was given a fifth-floor room with two windows, but again there was a wall directly in front, so no view and dark room. No closet. No air con. Awful. I had no other option but to stay. Breakfast was great, but dinner was very poor. There were only a few tables, and by 6pm they were full so guests had to wait.
The one exception was Dag, the receptionist. He was kind, helpful and professional, and gave me excellent recommendations for Oslo. Thank you, Dag you truly deserve recognition.

Very helpful front desk. The evening food wasn’t wonderful but given the price of food in Oslo it’s enough to keep you going.

Hotel was excellent,great location,close to the train station.Breakfast was very good!Beds were very comfortable.we enjoyed our stay,would highly recommend.The afternoon coffee and pastries plus the included dinner were an added bonus

Nice central hotel. Water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate are always available at the entrance. Included in the price at 15.00 a small snack and from 18.00 something to dine: soup, olives, salad and a more substantial dish, if you want you can dine there. Breakfast varied and hearty, both sweet and savory. 3 nights one double euro 687
