Best place to spend some time in Bøverdalen/Galdhøpiggen

Great place, exelent service and a good place to stay for your holiday. Easy access to Juvass and Galghøpiggen. Clean and nice appartements! With a calm and relaxing atmosphere. This is a good place to start your exploration of Jotunheimen and other mountain areas.

Profit above all!

Due to storm Hans, we were absolutely unable to access the establishment due to all the roads being completely closed (flooding and landslides throughout the area). We had to cancel the day before and book other accommodation in the area where we were staying but STORHAUGEN GARD does not consider these absolutely exceptional circumstances to be force majeure and the price of the room was therefore deducted! Very very disappointed because other hoteliers were much more understanding (note that the competing TripAdvisor site through which we used for the reservation forbids us from posting a review because we did not stay in the establishment.. and reviews from other people in our case appeared and then were deleted…)

To avoid

We were unable to access the accommodation as the road was closed with storm Hans. We tried to contact them by telephone to no avail. No response and 1 week later they debit the entire amount from your account still without response. I absolutely do not recommend this accommodation. Everyone else was particularly pleasant and accommodating. This is our only disappointment

Lite äkta fjällkänsla

Här tog vi in på ett rum i huvudbyggnaden. Där fick vi eget rum med egen toalett, och delade kök och matsal. Allt är enkelt, även om köket är stort. Här kan huseras många människor som ska ut i naturen av olika anledningar. Så det är ett enklare boende, men det var en mycket välkomnande känsla och vi hade trevliga samtal med andra här! Det passar utmärkt om ni ska "ut på tur" eller bara stannar till och sover som vi gjorde.

God plass å overnatte hvis man skal gå Galdhøpiggen

Er veldig godt utgangspunkt hvis man skal på Galdhøpiggen, kort vei til Juvasshytta. Hyggelig vertskap , men grunnet Covid var det ingen servering. Hytta vi hadde hadde enkel standard, med det var rent og godt tilrettelagt. Kan anbefales når man er på tur med hund
