Prime Waterfront Stay With Room for Improvement

Waterfront setting with harbor views. Walking distance to ferries, restaurants, and shops. Good breakfast buffet. Comfortable beds. Front desk staff warm and helpful. Room felt dated and tired. A refurbishment would make a difference. Not quite clean. Hallway carpets needed vacuuming. The broken soap dispenser showed poor maintenance. Better housekeeping would improve the overall experience. Preferred my stay at Thon Hotel Nordlys (better breakfast, better room, but more expensive).

Not the best choice

The hotel is fine for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer visit due to the overall comfort and service.
On the positive side, the reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good with a nice selection.
However, there were several issues during my four-night stay. The room did not have a kettle, so it wasn't possible to make tea or coffee. The soap dispenser by the sink remained empty throughout my entire stay, so I had to use the shower soap instead, which was inconvenient. Housekeeping was also disappointing—cleaning was essentially nonexistent, and the towels were changed only once, after the first night. What's worse it clearly wasn't cleaned thoroughly also between stays - everything was very dusty.
Another drawback was the window coverings. The blackout curtains were good for sleeping, but there were no sheer curtains. Adding thin curtains would allow guests to let in natural daylight while still maintaining privacy during the day.

It’s a splendid hotel , we are on the 15th floor and the view are amazing. I love Norway and Bodø is a perfect destination. Staying at Scandic Havet was awesome experience. Thanks

Weekend trip to Bodø

We got a great hotel room on the 15th floor with panoramic views of the city. The only minus was that the room was terribly (!!!) dusty and that the shower was slightly damaged. Should have informed about this when we were there..
Great breakfast, nice lobby with shuffle board - fun for both small and large.

Scandic Sea – memories for a lifetime ❤️

Scandic Havet has totally ok prices if you go for the cheaper rooms. On the other hand, when it comes to suites and presidential suites, I don’t find that you get absolutely value for the money – but if you want to enjoy yourself a little extra, then go on!
The breakfast is quite a standard hotel breakfast, but absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything you expect is there.
What really stands out is the service – incredibly friendly and welcoming!
A little highlight: Last time we stayed here, my daughter walked around shouting magic formulas. When we returned to the hotel, there was a letter to her at the reception – with a pleasant reminder that magic is not allowed in front of dumbbells! ✨
It created a memory for her life, and now this is the only hotel she will stay in!
Hurra for such amazing people!
