We had a good one night stay at the Scandic Torget hotel. Small, clean, quiet room. AC didn’t work, but the front desk sent up a fan that made sleeping a lot more comfortable. The staff was professional and courteous. Hotel is centrally located, within easy walking distance of all Bergen attractions.

If you are looking for a room with a good location in Bergen this is your place. But the room doesn’t have storage for more than 1 suitcase. Not much of a lobby, staff were less than helpful. Breakfast not included.

Room was clean although very basic. Bathroom was very clean but we were hoping to get more towels and some Kleenex tissues. Breakfast was excellent.

Excellent stay

The location is perfect for exploring Bergen . We found this hotel to be very clean .we had a lovely loft room over looking the harbour . comfy beds , very large bathroom . Breakfast was lovely , exceptional quality and an excellent Gluten Free selection. Staff all lovely .

The staff were mostly lovely and the location excellent.
Check in was a nightmare. We arrived at 3pm, told the room wasn't ready until 4pm. Waited till 4pm and told the room was still not ready. At 5pm we checked again. Still not ready. The staff member at the check in was very unhelpful and said I could have a smaller room than what I paid for if I wanted to check in. Her colleague at the desk heard the conversation and explained that she was able to allocate us the same style room on a different floor. We were finally able to check in.
While the room was clean, it was not built for comfort. The room was an awkward shape, there was nowhere to stand belongings (like a table top, or other furnishings that would allow this). The bathroom was incredibly small and difficult to stand toiletries, again, with very little space to stand things. While there was space for a mini-fridge in the room, there was no fridge in the room either.
The breakfast buffet was good, and had a reasonable amount of vegan options.
If location is important and comfort not so important, this hotel is fine.
