Basic hotel, but superb place ad people

The hotel is basic, but clean, comfy beds, in a beautiful area ad the staff is superb. Erics is super helpful and speaks fluent English, which is great. Food is good. Highly recommend taking a kayak for a half-day. The only downside is slow Internet, but I don't think the hotel can do anything about it being so remote. A great place to stay overall.

Relaxed place with kayaks

We stayed in this place because kayaks were included in the price, but there are some many other reasons to stay here!
The location was very beautiful with lakeview sunsets every evening, the room was really nice with a good hammock in front, it is really relaxed and quiet during the night, the restaurant served us the best food we had since Mexico,...

Great spot with kayak rental

It’s a gem, a property so close to the lake and yet private! We passed there on our way back from the waterfall to do a kayak tour. Only 5$ per person per hour, with life vests. They also offer river kayak tours, but best in rain season when the water level is higher. Friendly owner and beautiful views!
Unfortunately, we’d already booked our accommodation elsewhere. The place really looked nice as a hotel as well!

Perfect lakeside spot

This place is amazing. Great spot next to the lake with amazing sunsets, excellent food at good prices, friendly staff and kayaks/bikes to get around too.
Heaps of options for room types. We stayed in the dorms, basic but clean and good value.
Recommended.

Relaxing by the lake

I have to admit I was a little nervous when I arrived. It was a long bumpy ride out there and it looked like the middle of nowhere. But it ended up being very relaxing and one of my favorite parts of our trip to Nicaragua. The food was good. The staff was super helpful and attentive. The beer was extra cold. I would definitely recommend taking the kayak tour- that was our favorite part! Friendly tip, if you want to rent a motorbike to explore the island, I'd recommend renting a quad. The roads are a little rough on this part of the island.
