Oasis in Thamel
Fantastic location and stunning King Size room with balcony. Spacious and well appointed, excellent room service, delicious breakfast and an amazing coffee bar with wonderful cappuccino and latte all free during breakfast.

My go-to accomodation in KTM
Hotel Jampa is my go-to accommodation for each of my Nepal visit. I stumbled upon this cosy hotel with the friendliest staff in June 2025 and since then, I’ve stayed nowhere else in Kathmandu except at Hotel Jampa.
Firstly, they provide complimentary airport pick up and drop off which is a huge convenience in my opinion. Secondly, their rooms are nice and cosy and have excellent wifi that never fails. I’m making special mention of this because I’ve had pretty bad experience at other equivalent hotels in KTM previously. Lastly (and most importantly), I absolutely love the staff at Hotel Jampa. From the front desk to the bell boys to the cafe serving staff, security, cleaning ladies etc, all of them have been so kind and friendly I always feel very much at home. I would like to take this opportunity to make special mention of front desk personnel Bishal and Milan, and bell boy Nikhil - they go out of their way for the customers and they are a key reason I always look forward to returning to the hotel after a long day out.
A very big Thank You once again for your hospitality each time I visit! Looking forward to the next trip !

Best beds ever. That's what counts.
Originally had us in a huge 3 bed interior room. Wife was uncomfortable with hallway windows. They quickly moved us to a 2 bed room with only exterior windows. Very comfortable beds. Quite possibly the most comfortable we ever slept in any hotel. Pillows comfortable, too. Nice roomy clean bathroom. Bedroom spartan but spotless. Breakfast was exceptional with an omelette chef on board. Bit of concern was the available seating during breakfast. Filled up quickly with only the few outside tables available. Thankfully we were under a gazebo, as it was raining. Supper was a bit of disappointment, but edible. Overall a pretty good stay, although if we return, we'd probably eat elsewhere after breakfast.

Great value hotel in good location with helpful staff
The hotel was conveniently located in Thamel close to restaurants. The rooms were a good size and very clean and comfortable. Free Wi Fi was always available. There is a good restaurant serving tasty Nepali food. The buffet breakfast was good with a chef available to cook delicious omelettes. We found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. We used the free airport transfer service which was greatly appreciated. We would stay here if we visited Kathmandu again. The hotel was great value too.

Excellent
This is the 4th time I have stayed at the Hotel Jampa and it just gets better and better.
From the email communication, airport transfer and check in everything was done efficiently and in a professional manner.
The rooms are spacious, spotless and quiet, which makes for a good night’s sleep. Set in the heart of Thamel everything is close by, restaurants cafes and shopping, plus an easy level walk to Dubar square and Ason Bazar but transport can be arranged for you if you want.
The breakfast was scrumptious with a good variety and excellent coffee.
The best thing is the staff. From the front office, restaurant, cleaners right down to the security guard everyone was helpful, friendly and courteous.
5 starts and highly recommended.
