Highly recommend

First, I thought I will stay one night but when I arrive there and after seeing their service,I continued 4/5days. And the staff from dining room were excellent,so polite.Also located in the center of town and easy to roll around the city.very clean and very nice.
I will highly recommend to this The Hotel Mawtin .

Very nice staff, good location

We stayed here at the beginning and again at the end of our Myanmar trip. As we attented a wedding and received some gifts from local friends when we arrived, the staff was so nice as to keep our staff until our return 3 weeks later. The staff at breakfast was so nice that they didn't even let you stand up and get your toast out of the taster. Everyone there was just genuinely courteous and smiling at all times.
I can only recommend the Mawtin!

Good, safe, clean eliable accommodation

The Hotel Mawtin is all of the above but it isn't VERY central. It is just off Strand Road and Mahabandoola St so it does have good straightforward access to everywhere. The room was quite plain and standard but it was clean and I had everything I could want, including a safe. There is no shower tray so the water fell straight onto the floor but it drained and dried very quickly and did not contribute to a soggy bathroom experience. Jandals and lovely white bathrobes were provided.
The breakfast was great - more than adequate for both Eastern and Western tastes. The dining room has a view of the Shwedagon in the distance.
Lovely. comfy, spacious bed.
All the staff were lovely and so helpful and kind.
Wifi was reliable and useful.
Altogether; to be recommended.

Solid 3 star hotel

A nice hotel, clean rooms and friendly staff, especially the breakfast staff. Decent breakfast, the mohinga was excellent. My only complaint is that the eggs were always really cold. Good location 5 minutes walk to the Junction mall and 15-20 minutes to City Mall. You can find restaurants, Bread Talk, a supermarket etc at the Junction which is very convenient.

Great location!

The hotel is located near the Junction mall and it's within walking distance to 19th street. It's reasonably priced too (around £30 per night) which makes it a solid option for Yangon. The check in was quick, we had a room on 4th floor overlooking the neighbourhood. The room itself was a bit small and the bathroom was a small wet room however for 1 night it was fine. The bed was very comfortable though and the room was well presented. The hotel printed some tickets for us and organised a taxi to the bus station which was nice of them. The breakfast is served on the top floor with a lovely view of the Shwedagon Pagoda. There was the usual choice of Asian dishes plus eggs and toast. The staff were very friendly and polite. Wifi was a bit patchy and we could only have one device connected at a time which was a bit annoying but not a huge deal. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.
