Really good apartment in excellent location
Steps to Perast Apartments.
We booked an apartment with sea views and we were very happy. First tip, the apartment is located at the far end of Perast, if your taxi drops you off at the other end then you can get a lift on the free electric golf buggies available. If not, ask your taxi to drop of off at the Risan side. The apartment was also up several flights of stone steps. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. The spiral staircase inside is also tricky. Please note if you're coming from Tivat, allow plenty of time to go through Kotor, it is really really congested.
The apartment we booked was large, consisting of a full kitchen and sitting-room with an upstairs bedroom. The whole place was very clean and very modern, tastefully decorated. We loved the gorgeous sea views. A rocking chair was provided by a nook at the window to watch the yachts and cruise ships go by. Heaven!! The living room had a TV, large sofa and large dining table. The bathroom had a washing machine, very useful for swimming costumes etc. The kitchen had everything including fridge and microwave. The AC units both worked a treat. The. sofa bed was quite comfortable. The whole place was very spacious and really relaxing. Wifi was quite decent. There is no balcony however.
There are only minor tweaks to make this place perfect. Some curtains in the upstairs bedroom would be very useful because it gets very light very early, The spiral staircase is very creaky and quite precarious to use. There are no handrails. And please provide softer pillows as the ones there are really really hard.
Location? This place is perfect. The views are AMAZING. You have plenty of good restaurants to choose from. I recommend Armonia. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and were happy with all. We travelled in August so there were many small shops open for groceries and souvenirs. The museum is next door, and your are practically on top of a fab wine bar called Red and White. There is a plethora of boat trips available right outside the door. Talk to reception at Hotel Conte for "Relaxing Sea Day", it was amazing. Our kids loved it!! You can take a day trip into Kotor, just be aware that traffic can be bad. Use WhatsApp to get a taxi from Red Taxi.
