the heart of paradise

First of all, I have to say Montenegro is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been to. The beaches are incredible. The cities have a romantic and charming soul about them. It is definitely the sun and stars of mediterranean! While there, my fiance ( babas ) and I had the privilege of staying at the LaRos Apartments. This hidden gem happens to be centered most conveniently just steps from the water, local restaurants, public transportation and local markets. This lovely complex is decorated with Balkan art throughout. In addition, the rooms had amazing views, were comfortable, spacious, and clean. Not to mention the staff was warm, friendly and helpful. It is a must see. I miss it already and will definitely return!

Not worth the money. The greatest thing is closest to the beach everything else is below average.

After leaving an honest review on booking, an owner sends you private msg like this:
"Maja, the furniture has been completely renewed this year.
You are behaving like a young girl.
I would advise you to consider having children; otherwise, you may find yourself increasingly resentful of yourself in the morning and the entire world by afternoon.
I wish you all the best."
Please be aware of where are you staying.

Best place for yoga tour

Brilliant location - 20m to the sea, 3 supermarkets nearby (one at the corner). We start day swimming at dawn and make yoga on the terrace or in the garden.
Quiet apartments with cosy garden where you can find some beautiful design things.
Our apartment has kitchen so we had breakfast and lunch on the terrace eating fresh fish, shrimps and fruits.

Dishonest owner

We were cheated by the owner. He made us pay for 8 days of stay the very first day and gave out the apartment to other people two days earlier. We were shocked to have our holiday shortened in such a way! For my 10 year old son, 62 years old mom and me, this was the worst experience. And the owner did not want to register our stay. My old mother had to stress her health out to get it done as it is needed to present that document upon leaving the country.

Great place, value and originality for great remembering

LaRos Meljine is the place where we could enjoy beeing less than 50m from sea water in a very original and friendly environment. We enjoyed very much walking distance and nice smell of the sea water on the way to the Centre of the beautiful city Herceg Novi. For us LaRos is the comfortable place where we could combine various possibilities: it is a hub to visit many cultural heritage ( Kotor, Dubrovnik and whole Boka Kotorska ), to cook in a comfortable apartment our own delicious sea food or to go in nearby restaurants. It is a place and holiday to remember.
