The room was nice large & comfortable however there was no lift& the staff spoke little or no English so used translator on their phone & promised someone will come to resolve room problems however nobody ever comes ! Even toilet rolls I had to collect from reception.its sadly frustrating & only resolve by Mongolian friends phoning the hotel to complain .in 11days my bed was changed once & vacuumed the same day

Worn out, but good value

My room was quiet and pretty big. Especially the carpet was really worn out and even though the room was non-smoking (there was a sign about it on the room door), the room smelled of cigarette and there was an ashtray in the room. There was no aircon, but even though I came at the height of the summer, the room wasn't hot (but it was a little bit on the warm side). A portable fan was provided.
The room had only one power socket (and another one in the bathroom), but there was a long extension cord in the room. I used that to get power near the bed so that I could locate the fan there, but that required disconnecting the fridge and the TV from power.
I had booked a twin room, but received a double room. I was travelling solo, so it wasn't an issue for me.
The location was quite good: the walk to the State Department Store was about 10 minutes. There were frequent buses going to Sukhbaatar Square from a bus stop a few minutes away, but they were useful only when traffic was light. When traffic was heavy, walking was faster. There were several restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
The people I spoke to at the front desk spoke almost no English, but they were used to using a translator app.
Some older reviews state that there is WiFi only in the lobby, but now they had a separate WiFi for each floor, and it worked fine in my room.
The price was really good, so I happily accepted the shortcomings for that price.

Great location, walkable to some cool things. Large rooms, decent but basic breakfast. Not full AC, but cooling unit was nice.

Big spacious room. Newly remodeled bathroom. Staff were helpful. Breakfast good. Good location.
