Good drinks and ambiance

Didn’t stay at this hostel but discovered the cutest rooftop bar there. The happy hour/karaoke was so much fun and the two bartenders were the sweetest gals. It’s a good mix of locals and visitors. The drinks and ambiance are what you’d look for on a night out in the town!

Incredible experience!

From the moment I arrived, the hostel was amazing. The staff is super friendly—Astrid, Grecia, Enrique, Erick, Luis. Excellent service, great vibes in the place, super clean, and I love that they pay attention to every detail a traveler might need. The decor is fantastic.
Every moment I spent at the hostel was incredible. Mornings started with yoga with Sarah, which was amazing and such a great way to start the day full of energy. The breakfast at their restaurant was delicious every morning, and in the afternoon, relaxing by the pool was wonderful. The staff organized activities like lotería, karaoke, and bar promotions.
My experience here was a 10/10. I felt at home and it was hard to leave. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to Sayulita and, of course, to Casa Pepe.

Really Good Experience

It's always nice to be met with genuine welcome, and I felt it here. I am a 30-something solo traveler, so I enjoyed the fact that it didn't feel completely like a young person's hostel and I could work and enjoy quiet time. Astrid was kind enough to go out of her way to make sure my longer-term stay was comfortable. I highly recommend the female dorm if your a solo traveler and want extra space, comfort, and quiet. It's a big plus that is unique to this hostel over all the others I've stayed in this town.

Not as Advertised

Booked based on the photos seen here and on their website for 4 nights. When we arrived there was not a coffee maker, microwave, safe or mini-frig in the room. The rooftop pool did not have any chairs or loungers and the bar was just starting minimal food service. There was not daily housekeeping and we were told by the front desk that the rooms are not attended daily. The staff was friendly and we found out the hotel was recently sold and appears the old management took most of the amenities with them. We feel we should have been told about these changes at the time of booking as we did book directly through the hotel.
The locations was good, just a couple of blocks from the mail square but far away enough as to not hear any of the parting at night.

Average hotel but pricey.

Hotel was nice, a good place to spend a few days in Sayulita (which is an incredible beach town!)
The good:
* The rooftop pool has nice views and a good area to relax and lounge
* The bartender (can't remember his name) is amazing, so friendly and we loved having conversations with him
* Nice to have wifi throughout the building
* The location is perfect, close to the plaza but far enough away that it wasn't too noisy
The not-so-good:
* Price. We paid significantly more for this stay than other available places in the area which in hindsight was a mistake. There was really no reason this place should be charging so much more than other available hotel/airbnbs/etc without offering more services or amenities.
Overall, hotel is good, clean, and safe. For us personally we would probably look at other places for our next visit (if you're paying luxury hotel prices it might be nice to stay in a luxury place) but maybe we just had bad timing with high prices and limited availability.
