Great location, bad services and cleanliness

The location for my intended purposes was a premium one as it is near the Centro de Congresos Internacionales de Yucatan where I had to attend a meeting and also its close to Paseo Montejo which is a prime area of Merida.
The fact that on two separate instances my room was left completely open with no lock. I can appreciate the fact that Merida is considered a very safe city, but to find both the main door and my rooms door unlocked doesn´t neccesarily make one feel safe. Anothe incident came when I arrived late at the hotel only to find a mouse roaming through the kitchen area which in turn doesn´t make me feel confident about overall cleanliness.

Service was great we arrived almost 8pm. Be aware we did not stay at the address listed but there are 3 properties 2 mins walking to each other. We arrived at the address and there was a sign with a number to call or contact on WhatsApp. They answered quickly and came to get us and our luggage to checkin at the main building then led us to the other (3rd location). Our room room was small but clean. The pool in our building was the biggest but there was leaves inside looked unmaintained but not gross…fairly clean. There was a little “kitchen” with a fridge and microwave and coffee maker which looked like it hasn’t been used in a long time before getting to the pool…there were 2 sets of chairs at the pool. Now at the main building the complimentary continental breakfast was fruit, yogurt, granola, and coffee. The optional buffet was 190 pesos and WELL worth it many options and delicious. The main building pol was very cute and we loved the complimentary “steam bath” which is a steam room with shower heads…need to let them know 10 mins before to preheat it. They also helped arrange our excursion to cenotes which was cheaper than we saw elsewhere. We communicated thru WhatsApp no complaints I’d stay here again….we struggled with hot water often it was lukewarm but apparently that’s a thing in this area. It’s close enough to the popular area called “centro” about a 25 min walk and 10 mins to the US consulate

Everything was really pleasant,..the only thing I have to mention is that for some reason,.there are a lot of mosquitos inside the rooms,..but other than that, everything was really nice....comfortable beds by the way!..

Well-located hotel and very low price. Rooms are clean, but not well-equipped, reflecting the low price. Private entrance because the lobby is in a different location. This can make check-in difficult because there are no signs indicating where the lobby is located (a block away on another street).
