Madjid is a super host with a great location and very clean rooms
Madjid is a fantastic host and very keen to make sure your experience is the best. He thoroughly explains the neighborhood and offers great restaurant recommendations. The room is very well appointed and has great amenities including soap and shampoo and a small kitchenette with filtered water. I met a Swiss couple staying nearby at the Pearl and they said their room was really tiny. Madjid's place has nice bedding and towels and is very roomy. Would definitely recommend it.

Perfect.
French, every time I come to Isla I start by having breakfast at Madjid and Jean. Always perfect , the welcome is warm , the service very good , the breakfast chosen is delicious and the price very correct . For my next trip I will book a room. I highly recommend

Terrible place to visit.
What a joke and waste of money. The island is filthy and smells like trash and sewer. Aggressive shop owners, very crowded,no where to park, beach chairs filthy, playa Norte had an awful odor. People trying to scam us around every corner, golf cart companies charge more than their signs and websites. Have to pay to use bathrooms. If you want to relax stay away from this place.

CAUTION - received last minute cancellation of confirmed reservation
Sharing my bad experience with this property. On 1/21/24, Elements of the Island (EOTI) confirmed my reservation for the 2nd floor unit for 6 nights (3/2 - 3/8) and accepted my deposit of $200.00 USD. On 2/28/24 (3 days before arriving), Madjid contacted me to tell me that he just realized that he had double-booked the room. He offered to find me another place to stay, free breakfast at his cafe during my stay as well as one night free lodging on 3/7 (apparently, the room was available on this date). What EOTI did NOT offer me was the immediate return of my deposit. Only after demanding it back was it returned. While it is possible that the double booking was an honest mistake, it is NOT an honest mistake to fail to offer the return of a customer's deposit, which I provided in good faith. More likely, Madjid gave the room to someone else who offered a better deal. Fortunately, I was able to find somewhere else to stay, but this last-minute change of plans was extremely stressful and inconvenient for me. I do not recommend booking at this property unless you are comfortable with having your reservation cancelled at the last minute.

Excellent Location With Over The Top Hospitality
This is our second time stay in one of the apartments at Elements of the Island. We loved it just as much this time as the last.
It is a five minute walk to the ferry, Playa Centro, Playa Norte and the Hildalgo.
Each unit has a king sized bed, mini fridge, sink, coffee pot, toaster and a 5 gallon jug of water. The private bathroom has a great shower with great hot water and water pressure.
The AC works amazing. The unit also has 2 ceiling fans, a TV, couch and small table.
One of the best perks is that they provide bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. Renting this is very expensive now at the beach clubs, so this was a great way to enjoy the beach at various spots.
We cannot thank Monica, Yoly, Jesus and Madjid enough for the hospitality that they showed us.
