Perfect stay in Boca
La Posada Pacifica is an awesome place to stay, and I believe it has everything a person needs to have a great vacation. The suites all have lovely balconies (and hammocks) with a view of the river- great for relaxing and people watching. The kitchenette is well equipped with a large fridge, electric cook top, microwave, toaster oven, and utensils for preparing meals. The bed was comfortable and there were two ceiling fans as well as two floor fans. The shower always had hot water when I needed it, and there were plenty of towels/face cloths provided. It’s a short walk to restaurants and stores over a plank bridge. The only issue would be for people with mobility issues. Cynthia is an excellent host, she checked in with me on my second day to see if I needed anything. There is a brief information package provided in the suite. Oh, the wifi is very strong and reliable! Though I only stayed for two nights I will definitely return for a longer stay soon!

Very well kept and reasonably priced. Off the beaten path. My wife and I stay in Mismaloya usually and bus to Boca De Tomatlan to do the Colomitos beach hike (the Bomb). This year we decided to hike further to Las Animas beach. This hike was the bomb also. We water taxied back to Boca and spent the night at La Posada Pacifica. No regrets. Pierres wife passed away recently and Pierre was an awesome host.

Mexican “Authenticity” , but pricey
This little hotel is funny in how you access it, so be forewarned. It is adequate, with a few exceptions, but over-priced for what you get. The hosts, who are not Mexican, were okay, even helpful at times. It was interesting, to say the least. If you are adventurous, be sure to do the trail to Colomitos beach and on to Las Animas, but know that it is not a typical trail and can be very precarious in places. Wear good hiking shoes and take water! We enjoyed the little town beach in Boca and the restaurants, whose staff were friendly. Be sure to visit the Gardens of Vallarta, which is close-by.

Perfect room in a stunning location
Wonderful suite with balcony with stunning view out over the river and down towards the ocean. The suite was clean and comfortable with a somewhat limited kitchen but adequate for our needs. There was a fridge, toaster oven, microwave and coffee maker but no stove. Silverware and crockery provided. The only thing that was missed was an ice tray in the freezer.
It is quite a long walk from the center of town to the hotel. We were dropped off in town and dragging my wheeled suitcase along the cobbled streets, through the sand and across the bridge was a struggle for an older person. Note the bridge shown on Google maps in front of the hotel is no longer there. The only bridge is a suspension bridge further upstream. If you arrive by taxi have them drop you off at the bridge.
When it came to leave I contacted Cynthia and she was very helpful in arranging a taxi to meet me at the bridge and the taxi driver's son to carry my bags.

It's like staying in paradise!
The owners, Cynthia, Pierre (Pedro), and Antoine met me in Boca de Tomatlan and carried my bags across the walking bridge to the inn, situated on the other side of the Horcones River. I can't say enough about how accommodating they were. Antoine is a tech whiz and helped get my WiFi in order. The signal was quite strong once connected. They also provide a Roku TV with Netflix, Prime, and many other applications. So, if you have an account with any of them, all you have to do is sign in. For an extremely reasonable rate you get a full apartment and large balcony which looks out over the river. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, and all the utensils, glasses, plates, etc., you need. They also provide a 5 gallon container of drinking water with tap. The bathroom is a good size with a very large shower and plenty of hot water. My favorite part of this property is the large balcony with a table and two chairs. I spent my mornings having breakfast and coffee watching the sun rise while pelicans and egrets swooped down snatching treats from the local fisherman. I in the evenings i sipped wine while looking up at the spectacular starlit night sky. As far as transportation into PV there's a local bus that leaves every 15 minutes for 10 pesos. A cab will cost anywhere from 250 to 400 pesos depending on the driver and time of day. Make sure when you ask the cost if it includes the tip.
Disliked . The only downside was the barking dogs and rooster's crowing. But, I made sure to bring ear plugs with me, and turned on the air conditioner in the bedroom at night and didn't hear a thing.
