A haven of peace

Beautiful place with garden, peacocks Berber tent for breakfast, very nice staff and top guard, car parking. Modern rooms, and very neat stay. A little off-center which forces you to travel by taxi, but it is playable and we are happy to find calm after the visit of meknes

The best in Meknès

Very nice old Riad just opened. Brand new with Marocan style and up to date modern standards Miss a little French-European touch like you can see in Marrakech but it is really well done and the best you can have in town
The owner is present and very friendly and always helpful. All the staff is great
Rooms is very confortable (apart from bed that is quite hard for our standards) and shower and bathroom is really big and comfortable
There is a good restaurant service also where you can eat at night

A great address

Out if the way, but thank goodness! The owner and his family couldn't be more welcoming and the room is very comfortable and quite large. Breakfast is delicious and served in a very formal dining room.

Great place but added bills

Lovely little riad and we enjoyed our stay but we were surprised by the bill at the end. I had booked a twin room but they believed this was only for one person. Understandably they could have charged us more for breakfast which was included as a consequence but they charged us double the pre agreed price which seemed steep given that we only used the one room and this wasn't communicated to us at the start. Left a bit of a sour taste at the end.

Forget looking for anywhere else in Meknes - this is No 1

Just returned from ten day motorcycle trip in Morocco, staying at Dar Zidane for two nights. This is probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in anywhere. The decor is akin to something from an 'Ideal Home' magazine, every bedroom having it's own individual style, two having their own balconies. Andre and Khadija were the most accommodating hosts, patient with my poor French. Andre was forthcoming with information about local attractions, and Khadija served up the most delicious food every evening. They have secure parking in their driveway, hot showers and WiFi, impossible to fault.
