The Riad is located in the heart of the old Medina, close to the Souks and an 8-minute walk from the Jamaâ El Fna Square (please be aware that there is limited access to cars and taxis). It offers a hammam, a sauna and massage treatments.

Amazing, romantic experience in the heart of the medina.
We had a wonderful 10 days at the Riad Karmela. Upon arrival, we were helped with our bags from Lycee Mohammed V square, which was very helpful. Then on check-in, the property was clearly explained to us, including all amenities, and they helped us to the room.
We stayed in the Abdou suite, with rooftop terrace. The suite was clean and spacious, with excellent air conditioning. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit old, but worked perfectly and was clean. We loved our suite! Even without the private terrace, there were lots of spots around property to lounge in the sun or shade.
The property itself is beautiful, and the amenities are generally good. There is a pool available to guests at the riad next door (same owners), but we didn't use it. The internet was very good, and the property was clean. We ate breakfast daily, and it was fantastic - croissants, toast, sweets, pancakes, and an omelet station - all included in the price. My only suggestion is that the coffee machines remain available all day - if you missed breakfast (8-10am), you missed coffee since they put the machines away and there is no coffee in the room. Coffee machines in the room might help as well. One other warning is that there are lots of stairs in this complex, without an elevator. So you should be able to climb stairs to stay here.
Finally the location - brilliant! It's in the heart of the medina, and very safe even at night. Just don't be deterred by random people saying "the road ahead is closed". Stay the course - they are leading you elsewhere (we didn't want to know why). This happened late at night. Another caveat - no alcohol here. They don't yet have a liquor license, which can take some time to get. You can buy wine in the new city, but you must drink it privately, in your room.
Shout out to the most helpful staff - Ibrahim and Omar - but all staff were so helpful! You were wonderful! Thank you also to the owners!

A gem! Don't miss this one.
When we booked a bed and breakfast in the middle of the Medina, we were not sure what to expect. This place was absolutely wonderful. Very clean and every room had its own personality. And the food.. the breakfast was phenomenal and so are the evening meals. I've got to do a shout out to our guy Iman who took such good care of us.
The wonderful part is that we were immersed in their culture and we were able to experience what the old towns really were.

Wonderful place, wonderful staff!
So very lovely! We had the most beautiful room. The roof top terrace is gorgeous! Lots of hidden beauty. Each staff member was very helpful. Special thank you to Omar for all the fun with our five year old. And also big thank you to Hannan and Khaula (sorry, spelling!) in the Hamman, that was amazing. I strongly recommend. Fatima and everyone on reception desk were so kind and responsive from first phone call to goodbye.

Great stay with friends at Riad Karmela ☀️
We had an excellent stay among friends at Riad Karmela and we are leaving with very beautiful memories. A huge thank you to our hosts for their warm welcome and their availability throughout our stay.
Special mention to Amine, who provided excellent advice and helped us fully enjoy our stay with his always relevant recommendations. Thank you also to the entire team at the Riad, who took great care of us and did everything to make our experience pleasant.
We also greatly appreciated the Riad's restaurant: the meals were delicious, with a real favorite for the homemade breakfast, hearty and indulgent. The massages offered on-site were a true moment of relaxation and perfectly complemented this stay.
We will gladly return to Riad Karmela on our next visit to Marrakech. Thanks again to the entire team

I wholeheartedly recommend Riad Karmela for a stay as a couple, with friends, or with family!
The location is ideal for discovering the city. The breakfast is fabulous… but what can we say about the staff? Fantastic, attentive throughout our stay, with a special mention of course to Amine. Always smiling, always attentive, and with very good advice.
