Windfall.

Decent hotel in a very busy street. In the accompanying restaurant we could get very tasty tajines with chicken. The service of the drinks is sometimes very slow both in the restaurant and on the terrace.

Unkempt and far from the center

There are probably 1000 better choices for a hotel in Marrakech: closer to the centre, cozier, nicer breakfast room, a running shower, a swimming pool you really want to swim in... But: the staff was friendly and it was mostly clean.

Bad

We were not at this hotel but we ate at the restaurant. Very slow service. We were just 2 female tourists among men, regulars. We realized we weren't well regarded. Bad looks, we "disturbed" limits the waiter whose smile is non-existent. Almost an hour to get two pancakes. A card very provided but not even half in service. They served men first, even the newest arrivals. Our feelings: we were not welcome. Not recommended.

Very nice hotel close to the center

Clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms were large, there was even a kitchen with a fridge and microwave. Each room is equipped with a TV and air conditioning. Tasty dinners. I recommend. The hotel has a small swimming pool. There is a Carrefour store near the hotel

Adequate base if staying for a couple of nights.

I stayed in the Amalou before intending to go on a trek to the Atlas Mt's. But my first night there was when the earthquake happened and the trek was cancelled so I ended up staying 4 nights.
The hotel is basic but comfortable. The rooms have air con and a fridge and are clean. Breakfasts are good with as much as you can eat.
The hotel has a separate cafe but I didn't eat there, preferring to explore. But the tea was good.
