An unforgettable week
We stayed at the Nihaali from 3 to 10 January 2026 with the full board formula. The room was really large and spacious, and very well maintained. The food was always great, and one night the chef even made us a delicious pizza! The bikini beach is close and never crowded, and the coral reef is also easily accessible on foot. It was wonderful to observe the marine life, with fish and turtles! The excursions were varied and very well organized; a special mention for snorkeling with manta rays, which despite not being in season, gave us an indelible experience. I fondly remember the staff, especially Pratap, the chef and Nasheed. I highly recommend it to everyone! Laura and Mirko

OCEAN!!!!
Gathered to Maldives in 3 weeks, the choice fell on the reviews of this hotel. First, the boat leaves town at 14:45, the hotel is already at sunset, half a day is lost. The trip takes 2.5 hours, with three stops on other islands. It's not a hotel, it's a guesthouse. I got a room on the ground floor in the corner, a room with a small window and a constant smell of sewerage, it was always present... ,also had cockroaches (I was lucky) huge. During the whole time of arrival there was never a clean-up, maybe they don't have to clean, the cockroach bodies were in the room the whole rest. Nutrition took NV. Well... you won't starve, but you won't be satisfied with food. It's minimal. The owner tries, but it still doesn't save. The ocean is magic!!!!! Even with all the shortcomings of life, I'll still be back there. Already knowing about food, you should take snacks. In the shops I found nothing, and the price tag was horse!!!! Very painful to watch garbage that comes out of the ocean!!!! Locals don't clean it up. I had 10 minutes to collect bottles and other garbage. You can get schoolchildren to do it, they can do it for five minutes. Next time I'll take all the nuances into account and rest will be better.

Greetings from Paradise!
Nihaali Maldives is situated on an inhabited island named Kudarikilu. We were welcomed by the manager Mr. Inthi, knowledgeable, reliable and very friendly person. He helped us to organize the transfers and answered all our questions. Also many thanks to Mr. Sanjoy - the chef, originally from Sri Lanka, who understood and accepted our wish for not spicy food from the very beginning. Sanjoy is an amazing cook, we loved his food, so tasty! The food is served in the Rooftop restaurant.
Rooms are nice, clean, comfy, AirCon works perfectly, hot shower anytime possible and there is a high speed internet. On the ground floor there are three friendly employees living, always eager to assist you.
If you stay longer we would definitely recommend the trip to coral garden! Nevertheless Kudarikilu is a nature paradise with amazing beaches, tall coconut palms and friendliest locals on earth. House reef is amazing with many colorful fish, turtles, nursing- and black tip reef sharks, eagle rays and crystal-clear water. The edge of reef can be reached easily at any time.

Beautiful island, uninhabitable accommodation
Unfortunately, Nihaali could not disappoint me more. We could not wait to leave and go home. When we have arrived, we were welcomed by manager who walked us to the guest house. We immediately noticed that the guest house is actually a building site. Additional floor was being build. Whilst in the room, we heard drilling, hammering, shouting and everything you would expect when visiting a building site. I was wondering whether we get safety helmets! We could not bear the noise so we have asked manager to stop the works. He advised, he will stop it and advised that people work till 17hrs. At 17:30hrs, we approached him again, asking to stop the works and he said, they will stop it. Works did not stop until after 18hrs. Over next days, works were still carried out “low key”. Everything was covered in dust. Employees were smoking in the hall so the guest house smelt like an ashtray. Employees of the hotel were playing on their phones and could not care less about the environment. This place was health and safety hazard and should have been shut. Management seems to care more about money than comfort of the guests.
We have decided to visit Kudarikilu and Nihaali as reviews were amazing but we have learnt that previous manager has left due to being treated poorly by the owner and other employees were also leaving so no one really cares about continuity of the business. I can’t understand how booking.com is allowing this guesthouse to stay open and promote it as preferred partner program! Absolutely appalling!
Rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis, we had to ask for the room to be cleaned and towels to be changed.
On the day of arrival, manager advised that they will prepare sun lounges but when we have got to the beach, nothing was prepared.
Prior to our arrival, we have stayed in touch with the manager. Communication was somewhat difficult. We have asked few questions but we got an answer to only one. This carried throughout our stay. We have sent a message to the manager advising that it is really important for us to go to Hanifaru Bay. In case mantas or whale shares were spotted, we will be ready to leave regardless of the time of the day or our location. We have highlighted the same when we have arrived (face to face). On the next day, we have decided to go on a trip and again, I have highlighted to let us know asap if mantas or whale sharks are spotted in Hanifaru Bay. During snorkelling, my friend swam over to the boat (around 15hrs) and asked about news from Hanifaru Bay. She was advised that there were no mantas. My friend was staying on a different island and that evening, she has sent me multiple videos of mantas and whale sharks which were taken on that day around the same time we asked! I was absolutely fuming! I could not wait to speak with the manager face to face. Next day, I have showed him videos and asked him directly, why he did not tell us although explicitly I have highlighted on many occasion that this is of an utmost importance to us. Our stay was totally ruined! On that day, manager advised us that mantas were spotted in Hanifaru Bay so we have gathered our gear and immediately left. Fortunately, we were lucky and had an amazing time swimming with mantas. Unfortunately, there was no whale sharks.
The island is really beautiful, peaceful with a beautiful bikini beach. Fortunately, there is a second guest house being build and I hope that this review will not put your off from visiting this beautiful island. Just avoid Nihaali at any cost as management cares only about money, totally ignoring needs of the staff and guests. I am still very upset thinking about the time we have wasted staying in Nihaali whilst in Maldives.

It was an oversight on our part to assume that renovation works could somewhat continue and be quickly done with, so that we can welcome our guests like we used to - with a clean, warm and peaceful place where our guests ALWAYS come first.
We have always gone far and beyond to please our guests and we take this as a serious lesson that will never be repeated. Now we are glad that the renovation works are over and we can once again welcome our cherished guests.

Corner of paradise
My husband and I stayed in the Nihaali facility for 16 days this month. A wonderful and quiet place for those seeking relaxation and tranquility, it is just the right place. It is not a luxurious place but it is very clean and welcoming. The staff are very kind and always available to satisfy every need. Very spicy but good food, we would like more variation and also introduce some European dishes.
The bikini beach is beautiful but small, coral reef very close to the shore. The public beach is beautiful but you cannot stay in a bikini.
In any case we had a very good time. It was the best and relaxing holiday.

The bikini beach is beautiful but small, coral reef very close to the shore. The public beach is beautiful but you cannot stay in a bikini.
