⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Abell Hotel Kuching – Truly a Hidden Gem!

I believe the hotel has recently been renovated because everything looks so beautiful and brand new. The lobby is wonderfully decorated and gives off a festive, holiday vibe the moment you step in. It truly feels like a 5-star hotel to me.
I stayed in Room 101, and it was incredibly spacious and spotless. The bed was huge, and the mattress was exceptionally comfortable. I slept so well throughout my stay.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of Kuching’s hot spots. The iconic Kuching Cat Statue is just a short walk away, and there are malls, UTC, and plenty of restaurants nearby, making everything super convenient.
A special shout-out to the staff especially Norman as they were extremely friendly and helpful. Every request was attended to swiftly and with a warm smile. I genuinely felt welcomed throughout my stay.
Highly recommended! I will definitely return.

Top-Notch Service and Perfect Location

Abell Hotel is a great choice for anyone staying in Kuching. The hotel is newly renovated, the rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. Its city centre location makes getting around very convenient, with shops, food options, and attractions nearby. What truly stands out is the service. It genuinely beats that of many 5-star hotels, with staff who are friendly, attentive, and caring. Excellent value and a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Fabulous hotel with the best staff.

We returned last week after a 12 night stay at the Abell Hotel and what a great holiday it was. The hotel positively sparkles following a recent full renovation. The entire property is spotlessly clean , extremely well run by the best staff and we must comment that ALL the staff were amazing, professional friendly and helpful, overseen by the Manager Lia and front reception staff member Gilbert and again we must mention that ALL of the staff were amazing, we travel a lot and this group of hotel staff totally stand out.
Rooms are large light and very well equipped with great bathrooms, the restaurant/bar is great with a great breakfast. The entire property is so well run .The hotel is also so well placed near food outlets, shopping, currency exchange and the river walk.
We will definitely return, thank you all for a great holiday. Denise and Mark

The hotel was undergoing renovation, many rooms were empty and there're a lot of noise during day time, which was still fine.
However, the bed and pillow were very stiff and flat, we couldn't sleep well at all. The soundproof at window was bad, aircon and shower head were leaking water for the entire night. There're noise from the opposite shophouses during midnight as well.

Overall, the hotel was quite good. However, the view was a bit disappointing—I expected a street view, but it turned out to be a small alley instead. Additionally, the soundproofing of the room was not great, as I could clearly hear the noise from cars outside.
Another issue was the placement of the toilet. It was positioned too close to the glass partition, making it uncomfortable to sit properly.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the stay was still decent.
