Great budget option in beautiful Langkawi

If you are looking for a more relaxed and authentic Langkawi experience this may be the place for you. The handful of chalets are sprinkled around the pretty gardens and are constructed in a traditional Malaysian style of warm coloured wood and red roofs. The one we had was delightfully pretty inside but had a/c and fans to keep you cool. Because the accommodation is at a higher altitude than at the coast we found that the temperature was in fact a little cooler and there was usually a refreshing breeze.
The pool is good size and certainly very refreshing when the sun got too hot.
The place is somewhat remote in that there are no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance but the whole Island is small and you are never far from anywhere with the help of a cheap Grab taxi. If you prefer your own wheels, the owners can sort you out with a car or moped hire. The upside is that it is quiet and peaceful if all you want is to relax in the warmth, away from the cold British weather.
But the best things about Fox Hill were our hosts Ann and Ezani who were friendly and helpful throughout. Ann is also an excellent cook and if you give her a bit of notice she will prepare delicious breakfasts and dinners at extremely good prices . And the portions are generous.
Note that we found that unlike many places our room was not serviced as a matter of routine, but if you needed anything a quick Whatsapp message and it was done.
All in all, thoroughly recommended as a great budget option.

Amazing stay at Fox Hill

We stayed 4 nights at Fox Hill. It was very peaceful and beautiful.
The host was extremely helpful and friendly.
The rooms were clean and spacious.
The swimming pool was very nice and warm.
Breakfast was delicious, with different options and all homemade
We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this wonderful paradise in Langkawi ❤️

Restful and lovely stay

Far from the hustle & bustle of city life ... we enjoyed the fresh air, greenery and lovely garden... the peace & quiet ... great for a relaxing retreat!
The hosts were hospitable & friendly.
The kampung-style house was charming and comfortable - like especially the balcony & the view.
But more convenient if you have your own transport.

Enjoy the calm and peaceful nature of Langkawi in this family run place

We stayed in the Treetop house for 4 nights. Very charming place to stay and relax. For the Treetop you must not mind that your private bathroom is located 5 meters below your living quarters.
Fox Hill is small and family run, almost feels like you are the only guests (even though it was fully booked when we were there). The three people running the place go out of their way to accommodate you. Wanna book a tour or a taxi? They will arrange and follow up, making sure you found it and liked it.
As Fox Hill is a bit away from anything else, you want to book a car or motorcycle to get around. All can be done on the spot at very reasonable prices (we paid RM 35 per day for a motorcycle).
Thanks to Ann, Ezani and Abe for making our stay at Langkawi the best!

exceptional

There are only 4 bungalows in nature, the setting is great! the accommodations have incredible charm, and are very comfortable with air conditioning and fans. The swimming pool is large, deckchairs and towels available. The owner is omnipresent to make our lives easier (at his home and for the organization of our vacations). The evenings are magical, billiards and games available with jazzy music, and above all the possibility of dining under the stars... just order the day before because everything is fresh, the cuisine is divine! Lovers of small, charming structures where time stands still, we were delighted :-)
