I had a pleasant stay at Vouk Hotel Suites in Penang. The hotel is in a great location, making it convenient for exploring the island. However, the car park tends to fill up around 7:30 p.m., but I truly appreciated the security guard’s assistance in allocating parking spaces.
The room I stayed in did not have a window, which affected airflow and made it less ideal for a family stay. On the positive side, the hotel maintained good security and cleanliness, which made our trip more relaxing. The front desk staff were warm and kind, providing excellent assistance during check-in.
One downside was the absence of a gym or swimming pool, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it's a good option for those prioritizing location, cleanliness, and security.

Room was big but the bath tub was old & dirty eventhough we were told that that 10th floor we were allocated is newly renovated. The chair had corners torn.

The room is considered clean. Staff is ok. But the breakfast very limited choice . However the housekeeping look like didn’t check the toiletries supply because I found used stuff did not removed and especially there is no extra roll of toilet paper while when the first roll of toilet paper is almost running out when we check in.

Below par hotel

The hotel was satisfactory. The room was cleaned daily.
Outside of the room the hall carpets on the 9th floor was covered in debris from the works been carried out.
The pool was very poor and in need of some improvement in the area. There was no where to sit unless you wanted a lounger that was so low to the floor that you would need to be on your hand and knees to climb on.
The breakfast restaurant on the 2nd floor was very below what was expected. The hard boiled eggs were raw. Very poor choice and ants crawling around the area of the breads and cakes.
No bar area to sit on a evening.
And no where really close to go for a alternative meal unless you got a taxi.
Nesh one of the managers could not do enough for us and made our trip a joy.
I would recommend to visit Penang just not this hotel.

It was ok until our room had an aircond leak which was rectified but yet again leaked. Imagine more than twice hotel maintenance had to resolve the issue by entering our room. Other than that staff was pleasant and stay was ok.
