Small, Quirky Hotel in Heart of City

The hotel is a former grand colonial house, expanded. 15 rooms. The ones in the new section are perfectly OK, but a bit bland. Nice courtyard for sitting. Several good restaurants are in easy walking distance (if you dare). No spa, gym, etc. but you can use the facilities at a nearby hotel. If you seek a premier hotel but want to avoid a large, flagged hotel, this is your place. Superb restaurant. Clean. Good WiFi.

The best

Just the most incredible hotel and restaurant. I have been searching so long for somewhere that feels the same and nowhere is quite like it.
Great staff, great food and the kind of place you do not worry about having the steak rare.

Quirky and eclectic

Good location for centre of town. Quirky decor and eclectic collection of all manor of things to see from old post boxes and pocket watches to vintage cars and bikes! Food was excellent and the restaurant is popular with non-guests, so make sure you book if staying here. They do their best to cater for dietary needs. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are spacious - mosquito nets and bug sprays are provided.

Overall great hotel

We stayed here in our last night in madagascar, and it was great.
The staff was nice and helpfull, the food was delicious, the rooms were comfortable and clean and the vibe with all of the vintage stuff and the jazz music in the background was fun.
The bathroom was very clean, and it was cool that it had both a bath and a standing shower. The toilet and the shower were in separate rooms which was also nice.
My only complaint is that we booked a room with two beds, and when we got there the room only had one, but it ended up being fine.

Great weekend

After visiting the restaurant, we decided to book a weekend stay .
It was amazing , quiet and restful
Room was extremely clean , we will be back . It was over mother’s day weekend , so we had special Mother’s Day brunch .
Staff speaks very good English , French and of course , Malagasy
