Perfect trip

Great hotel and location was perfect and staff they took care of my family all week. Large clean rooms. We were very happy.

Buyer Beware- small business owner adds random charges to increase sales

Buyer beware. I just checked out, and I dealt with the owner directly. I was looking for an affordable hotel to stay at, and I’m not too picky- so how dirty the hotel is, the leaks, the cigarettes in the stairwell, the view of garbage dumped everywhere from the balcony, the cheap furniture, the prostitutes, etc. is not a problem for us.
What happened was an episode of horrible customer service where I was robbed of $40 for a chair that broke on its’ own. This is a reminder that this is a 3rd world country, and you really need to be ready for anything.
The top railing of the chair was held together by glue only, without any dovetails, screws, or dowels. It’s probably 6-7 years old. The glue simply came apart, maybe it’s acacia wood and the wrong product was used to build it.
I walked it downstairs so that they could quickly replace the chair for us and nobody came, so I walked the whole chair downstairs as not to have a broken chair sitting in the living room. Maybe they are flaky or understaffed, I thought. The front desk lady, when I was checking out, informed me that they are going to charge me $40 for the broken chair for “damage.”
I got the manager involved and he tried to invite me to his back office to try to convince me that this is how hotel businesses are run. Buyer beware.

Great family hotel, good value

This a great family friendly hotel, rooms were always clean. The staff were very helpful and always available. Its a very secure area close to the airport and lots of malls. You can walk to the supermarket and pharmacy. Great value for money. Accept to pay in local currency which a lot of hotels do not.
