Nice hotel with modern features, but old world charm

We had a superior room overlooking the park and a peek a boo view of the castle. Everything was clean, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of room for luggage. Easy, free parking. Comfortable bed and nice, hot shower. Really good breakfast with espresso machines, which luckily seems fairly common in nice European hotels. No fridge or microwave in the room. The hotel has old world charm (1939 build) with modern features and kept up very nicely, but just note it is lacking an elevator. It's a short walk to old town and the castle.

Do not book this hotel

Building is nice in the middle of Cesis. Breakfast is ok,not fabulous but good enough.
But!
No aircon and rooms are hot as hell with disgusting carpet. When you open the window the noise from the restaurant downstairs is unbearable.
Walls are paper, you can hear every word you neighbour says.And did he have a lot to say until 3 at night...
Do not recommend!!

Nice and convenient place to stay in Cesus

The hotel is in a great location near the castle and old town. The room was fine. Breakfast was good. No elevator. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel, very spacious rooms, and you are right by a little park behind the hotel, as well as very close by to Cesis Castle.
We were considering whether to stay in Sigulda or Cesis, and we were so glad to have stayed in Cesis - much smaller, prettier and walkable town.
Slightly disappointed not to have a kettle and tea in the room, but as the hotel has a restaurant, it wasn't such an issue.
Breakfast spread wasn't the best, and didn't look very appetising for the most part, but all the basics were still covered.
For a budget hotel, this was a very pleasant 2-night stay.

Never ever! I have been in the hotel for several times, but the lady working on 23nd of june, was the worst i have met!

The receptionist can not call to your mobile - their phones don’t allow that.
There is a parking lot but one is not allowed to park there!
