Pleasant and Pocket Friendly

Travelling to Kisii for business or leisure? Dan's Place id your place.
From a distance, it looks like your usual place but when inside its heavenly. Well furnished rooms, variety of foods, professional and well groomed staff. Quite close to the CBD yet quiet enough for work. With underground parking, you are assured of safe and ample parking.

Terrible

Terrible experience, from showers not heating to toilets not flushing....I raised the issue to the receptionist, i had to switch the rooms n I encountered same problem . Management seems not to work on maintaining the rooms.I can't recommend

Adequate

Most of the rooms are small, but comfortable. Mosquito nets supplied. Cheap by US standards. Front desk staff could be a little more attentive, but they did give me an electric kettle for the room upon request. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep through barking dogs, meowing cats, crowing roosters, howling Muezzin calls to prayer and shouting preachers at 5am. Breakfast is tolerable, but don’t expect brewed coffee. Lunch and supper? Find somewhere else. The “chef” is hit or miss—the food takes forever and then can often be overcooked. It’s hard to screw up chicken but this chap managed. There’s a fellow who plays the trumpet to recorded accompaniment from time to time. If you’re into Premier League Football/Soccer it’s on in the restaurant. There’s also a separate small but comfortable bar.

Comfortable stay in Kisii

Stayed one night in this hotel in Kisii. Used to be known as Dado's hotel. The room was fairly clean and shower had hot water. In terms of basic amenities this has it. The breakfast option was also widespread and fairly appealing. The customer service by the front desk could do with some improvements. They need to be more hospitable and cheerful when welcoming guests.
I stayed in room 111 and kept getting calls asking for the restaurant number. Whether these were prank calls or just lack of clear information as to which is the reception desk was not determined. But it was definitely annoying.

A pleasant surprise!

I checked into this hotel with very low expectations while on a business trip in Western Kenya. I was amazed at the hidden treasure right within the business district. Clean comfortable affordable accommodation with nice hotel rooms & conference facilities. The food, quite delicious served by hospitable staff. A very good sleep quality. The internet though is weak. I truly enjoyed my stay in this hotel!
