Hotel Rakhat..is silence and comfort

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds. The rooms are large, spacious, and have a wonderful kitchen. Always something baked for breakfast. Garden..and access to the sea..special thanks.
There is a kitchen on the 2nd floor and you can warm up something for yourself and drink tea.
Thanks to Administrator Irina for her professionalism. And also the maid Lyubov, special thanks to her too.
One request: add more light on the 3rd floor (it's a bit dark).
Overall, I will definitely come back here again.

Clean and cheap

This is my second stay at this hotel and it’s close to my place of business. Rooms are very big with a ok bed. Huge balcony. Breakfast is very basic but enjoyable if you are there for a couple of days. Nice minibar English is a problem is you have a problem but google helped out every time. Will go back.

Very helpful Reception

I stayed three nights at this hotel. It is not that cheap, but has reasonable quality of rooms, and helpful reception staff, but breakfast staff did not speak English, which was hard to order. I liked the location of the hotel very much.

Horrendous Hotel

Stayed in this hotel for one night due to an issue with the hotel we should have stayed in being overbooked. Hotel appearance was not that bad, however upon staying in the hotel found the food to be very salty, no free water provided in the room, given that the tap water is undrinkable. bed was uncomfortable with itchy sheets.
Woke up in the morning to find that there was no hot water for a shower.
Complained to reception at which she told me I should have complained straight away (I complained 30 mins after the problem as I had to get ready to leave for meetings) I asked for a discount was not given, I asked to speak to the manager, was told he wasn't there, asked to call him, told no. I left my mobile number as I want to complain, but I doubt I will hear anything. Check out also took 10-15 mins. All in all a disgrace.

A very cheap and affordable hotel in Aktau

This hotel is a perfect example of a Soviet era hotel. It is part of the city heritage and surprisingly is still surviving the times. I stayed in this hotel for more than 30 days on various occasions back in 2005-2006 and at that time it was just one of the very few hotels in town.
The rooms at that time were a pleasant surprise as I expected them to be much worse but they weren't. They were quite big and comfortable and the bathroom facilities were all in perfect condition.
The real adventure starts with the breakfast, as it is included in the room tariff. In fact you just go the bar area and wait for the personnel to show up around 8 AM or slightly before and then you order whatever you want from the menu and you get whatever they have in the kitchen. If you are not very picky you can still have your fried eggs with ham or omelet, tea, coffee, toast, gem and butter, canned orange juice, etc.
All in all it is an excellent stay in Aktau if you don't ask for too much from the hotel staff.
The real downsize is its location, which is far from the city center.
