Great hotel! Great private onsen! Great staffs!

The room at Ichikawa Bekkan Seikanso is spacious and beautiful scenery of Ikaho Onsen Town and Shibukawa (I guess!) is really appreciated from room window.
If you come to Ikaho by JR bus, the bus will drop you off at Ikaho Bus Center. You have to call the hotel to pick you up, since walking to hotel with baggage is quite hard as hotel is uphill. However, when you start wandering around and walk up Ikaho Steps to the top, it's only 15-minute walk downhill back to the hotel, and it's easy.
There are 3 private onsens at the hotel that you can choose from, free of charge. 2 of them are outdoor and it's really great, especially after spending time walking up 365 steps in Ikaho town. Moreover, there are 2 public onsens (men and women separately), too. Since I didn't have a room with meal plan, I can say that the best part of my stay here is private outdoor onsen and the view from room.
Although staffs are limited in English conversation, but they are eagerly answer your questions and recommend walking course for you (in Japanese and little English :-) Guy who drove us to hotel is very helpful, sorry I don't know his name. He also drove us to Ikaho town and to bus stop to JR Shibukawa, too.

Room for the first night! The hotel is very Japanese! The buildings are all Japanese and very casual and comfortable. The bathhouse was very nice! Even if there is nothing nearby to have a car to pick up and eat at night is not convenient, but it is normal to count it as a suburb! I had to pay taxes when I checked out. I had no cash to accompany me to pay for the result and the room rate was repeatedly charged. The money was returned after several confirmations.

客先コンペのパックにて利用しました。伊香保は３０年前に他ホテル宿泊した頃は旅行客が多かったですがこちらに到着する迄の廃墟ホテルの数々…車寄せにつけたら直ぐにスタッフが出て来て中々。お部屋は最上階の角部屋にて眺望最高でした。温泉はややぬるいですが、逆に長風呂出来てポカポカに。お食事も金額相当でしたが配膳の眼鏡女性が素晴らしかったです。

個室の基準とは？

夏休みの終わりに近場で親子二人（父と小学校低学年の娘と）旅行しようと直前に計画しました。
貸切風呂があり、コロナが心配だったので、食事は個室か部屋食と条件を入れて旅行サイトで検索したところ、こちらを含めいくつかの施設がヒットしました。
決め手は個室食事処と貸切風呂でした。
建物は古いです。ただ部分的なリノベーションはされているので、それほど気にはなりません。また伊香保なので、部屋からの景色を期待し眺めの良い部屋を予約したので、確かに遠くの山々が良く見えました。
当日は満室だそうで貸切風呂が自由に入れないというのは仕方なかったですが、個室食事処については旅行サイトで予約し、その後旅館さんの公式HPを拝見したところ、個室はあるけども半個室（個室風）の居酒屋のような上部が開いているところも使っているようで完全個室にしてもらえるかと旅館さんに問い合わせたところ確約できないとのことでした。キャンセルも考えましたが、直前予約の直前キャンセルになるので、希望を持ちながら伺いました。
食事の時に通されたのは、半個室の方でした。
個室の基準というのは私にはよくわかりませんが、個室とあったので予約したので、半個室とわかっていたら他館にしたと思います。
社長様はじめ、スタッフの皆様は皆様いい方なのですが、釈然としない気持ちは今もあります。また隣の半個室の親子が大声でお食事されていて、これで感染したら来た意味ないよなあと思いながらの食事でした。
正直に「個室、半個室どちらになるかは宿任せ」の表記があれば、予約前に問い合わせたのに。宿だけの問題でもないと思いますが、全体的な信用は崩れます。
食事はおいしかったのですが、ちょっと昔の会席料理という感じでした。
お料理は小学生の子どもには少しハードルが高く、特に朝食は肉以外食べるものがない感じでした。かと言って、幼児食ですと、小学生が幼児食を註文すると幼児食であっても小学生料金のまま変わらないということで、もったいない気持ちもあり、小学生の料理としてお願いしましたが。
小学生が幼児食を希望される場合は、応分の料金にしてもいい気がします。

食事、貸切風呂そして接客がgood

昭和の香りがプンプンするエモい旅館です。
石段街からちょっと離れているので、かえって静かで良かったと思っています。石段街まで徒歩10分程度ですが、上り坂になっているからとチェックアウト後には石段街まで車で送ってくれました。
食事はどのお料理も大変おいしかったです。
品数も多くて、高い満足感が得られます。朝はこんにゃくのお刺身が出ましたが、知らなかったら何のお刺身なのか分かりませんでした。
接客は親切丁寧ですが、丁寧過ぎることもなく、的確に必要な事だけやってくれて良かったです。
貸切風呂は、3つ有りますが予約制では無く鍵が鍵置き場に掛かっていれば、それを持って鍵を開けて入り、出たら鍵を置き場に戻しておくというシステムで、入浴時間は30分と言う入る人の良識に任せるものでした。二人静としらかばの2つの貸切風呂は入ることができましたが、夜になると混んでいて3つ目のまゆみには入ることができませんでした。しらかばと、まゆみは、朝は男女別のお風呂となりますが、その時まゆみに入った家族によると、しらかばの方が脱衣所からお風呂までのアプローチが良かったとのこと。
ロビー脇には卓球台があって温泉卓球が楽しめたり、スーパーファミコンがあり無料でマリオができたり、廊下には芸能人のサインがずらり並んでいたりして、the 旅館　が楽しめる宿です。
