Not Bad, But a Bit Weird

Not bad, but a bit weird hotel. They are spraying hypochlorous-acid-based disinfectant everywhere. You prepay for your stay by the machine and the machine returns you a card, which will be your room key with your room number on it. (The room was okay as our room got upgraded.) The weirdest was the message we found in the elevator, which reads "The infuluence of the machine are reduced the bact and flu."

Convenient, over-priced, creepy staff

Stayed here a couple of times last month, the second time because the other two hotels in town were full. Very convenient for the local station, whether JR or Kobe Dentetsu. Just follow the road to the left and the hotel is on your right, the biggest building in town.
It serves as a business hotel but is rather over-priced for the category. It does offer a few extras you wouldn't expect in a business hotel but I would rather have had a more standard price. Some of the extras are downright quirky, like the humidifier that blows clouds of steam into the lobby and its more disturbing cousin in the elevator. Another piece of bizarrerie is the automated check-in machine which none of the staff seems able to understand.
Rooms are a little bigger than usual for a business hotel and most have great views across the city and the rice fields beyond. Plenty of light and air. The telephone system is Byzantine beyond belief. To make a local phone call, we had to buy a 1,000 yen card (the same card that gives access to porn movies!), enter details on the TV screen and then pick up the phone. Unused value on the card would be refunded on check-out we were told. We didn't get that far: the phone simply would not work and the staff could not fix it.
By far the most disturbing aspect of this place, though, is the very creepy staff, who stand about obsequiously before offering help in lugubrious tones. They alone would be enough to drive us away to one of the less expensive hotels in town.
Breakfast was wholesome but a little fussy. The restaurant, when it is not serving breakfast is actually one of the better places in Sanda to eat but again overpriced.

Sufficient

The hotel is located nearby the Sanda central station, therefore it is easy to reach, the drawback is the noise of the trains. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, are quite small but sufficient to stay for the night.
The service desk is polite and the rooms are cleansed each day (with new towels).
Try to avoid rooms on the 10th floor, because these are the smoker rooms and the whole floor is smelling.
