The rooms were clean and the staff were amazing and really helpful. They helped us with our luggage transfer to the next hotel and it was very convenient!

Good location.

Great location, in a lovely area. 50 mts to the metro entrance and 7/11. Reception staff were very welcoming and the room was spotlessly clean as is normal in Japan. Excellent air conditioning to. The restaurant staff were not the friendliest and kept reminding us of the closing time. Do not wear your slippers to breakfast as I mistakenly did one morning as you will be sent away to change them and not in a nice way!

Good value for money, but the bed is extremely uncomfortable to sleep in a couple.

The double occupancy’s room was way smaller and more expensive than the single occupancy one, which we thought was weird. The check in was smooth and everyone at the front desk was helpful. There was one lady serving breakfast who was surprisingly rude when I tried to put ice in my water bottle in the breakfast/dining room. I tried to explain that the ice machine did not work on our floor nor the one below it but she kept repeating NO and pointing for me to leave. It’s possible I committed a huge Japanese faux pas and just didn’t know it but the repeated NO from the server lady wasn’t helpful.

Exceeded our expectations

Wow! We surely got lucky on this hotel find. We stayed here for 4 nights/5 days - party of 3. We had 3 separate single beds in one room. The room and bathroom size was bigger than most hotels we stayed in Japan. Super duper clean, temp controlled room - it's winter when we went so our room was nice and toasty when we get in but can be adjusted at night to be on the cooler side for sleeping comfortably. They provided us daily towels, yukatas, slippers and amenities (lotion, toothbrush, etc). There's ice and water machine in our floor, which was just across our room. We booked with daily breakfast and that was truly a great deal. Breakfast can also be swap for lunch (on weekdays) if you are unable to wake up early - another plus for us! Their breakfast buffet had lots of variety but mostly Japanese dishes which we love. They have continental breakfast like fresh bread; they have green salad and freshly squeeze juices as well. We had lunch one day when we woke up late and they also have unique varieties in their menu to choose from. We are a foodie family so we really enjoyed their restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Everything taste good. Glad we added it. It's convenient esp. for us who is not always in a hurry to be out and about. Staff are friendly and accommodating esp. the housekeeping. Front desk didn't speak much English but we were able to communicate our needs just fine. Just wanted to mention that they didn't have onsen here which was ok for us, although we wished they had. hehe.
The location of this hotel is BIG plus. Lots of restaurants and minimarts within walking distance. There's also a shops and mall around. The Osaka castle is also about 20-30 mins walk from the hotel (leisure walk). Train stations are just 2 mins walk! Loved, loved the location of this hotel!
We really couldn't be more please in finding this hotel to stay on our last leg of our Japan trip. This hotel not only exceeded our expectation, it's actually one of our best stays in all of our vacation. It may not be a fancy 5 star hotel nor a top tier hotel chain but it served its purpose for us perfectly (price, cleanliness, comfort, convenience and location) - it made our vacation memorable. It was a very relaxing, stress free, fun stay for us.
Thank you, Hotel The Lutheran. We plan to visit Osaka again and will definitely stay here if they have the availability for us. Kudos to all your staff.
